is a great game. Wanted to play the third game, though.
Bought the disk(s) and installed the game on my Windows10 laptop, yet it says the following when I attempt to run it:
"Please login with administrator privileges and try again".
Please help me. I'd much appreciate that.

Try running it as an administrator. You probably need to specify your the administrator of the pc to install it.

That
Doesn't help at all
If I knew how to run it as admin I would have already tried that

If I knew how to run it as admin I would have already tried that
Right-Click on it, and in the resulting menu, select
Run as administrator.

kthnx
EDIT: nope :( didn't work
NOW I know why it only costed 5 bucks......because it's not worth crap! Won't even work. My DooM II disc for Doom95 was also five bucks but I managed to figure out how to use Doom95 on my Windows10 PC. Don't say I can't because I can. I think DooM II should have costed me $9999999999999999999999999999999999999999 instead of $5 but then I wouldn't have the game so I'll just be happy it was $5

Did you trying tinkering with your compatibility settings? Or restarting your computer?
I had a similar issue with my copy of the game at one point and restarting fixed it for me.
Then again, I'm using the steam version.

I'm running Windows 10 and never had a problem with running Doom 3 at all. No compatibility settings, no admin privileges, etc.
Anyway, I suggest updating to version 1.3.1 and try again.

I did some research on the web and apparently it has to do with Microshit making changes to how the operating system works that has bricked some older games that use certain kinds of early 2000s era CD based DRM
Fortunately for you, there is a workaround
https://www.patches-scrolls.com/doom3.php
DL 1.3.1 from here, install the patch, and it should fix your issue.

You won't need to open the actual game to install the patch.

Just get the game on Steam, and be done with it. It's only $6.

I mean my problem's already fixed. And I don't use Steam anymore, it slows my computer down more than having 10 programs open at once
