2.1.2 is available for people who wish to use it again for whatever reason.

I'm guessing because of complaints that older mods no longer under development just fail with 3.0? Either that are you guys are giving into terrorist's demands again.

Between the builds being proliferated widely, the major mods updating for 3.0, and automatic installation for 3.0 builds working a lot better there's no real downside to giving people the choice.

(Not that I understand people who refuse to set up 3.0 at all but that's not really important anymore.)

WARNING!! Hosting is about to change.... to rock your doom world Yep we are currently doing a thing. Imagine, hosting doom servers where you dont need to put in a long ass command in some chat window on irc. Imagine doing all of that in a GUI (like you used to if you used obleak.. whatever the name was back in the day). Imagine that you no longer need to type .help anymore to be re-directed to a website that tells you how to host. There wont be a need for that soon as TSPG is going all web based BABY

In other words, Dark-Assassin is a legend among legends. He has been working very hard to bring everyone a better platform for hosting. You will no longer chat to an irc bot to get servers hosted anymore. It will now all be in a web interface!
I suppose you all might have a few questions, so allow me to bring up an FAQ

So... whats the difference?
The difference here is that you wont need to use commands in irc to manage your servers. It will all be done in a web interface. You can check out a demo hosted on Dark-Assassin's site here: https://x2.rfc1337.net/

Whats to become of the IRC channel?
The irc channel will probably be renamed to #tspg so it will still exist and will be one of the main hangouts to get a hold of admins. Of course we will also be in our discord.

What will happen with the existing data?
All the wads and configs will be migrated over. Your accounts will still exist also once all the user accounts are migrated to the web interface. This also means all existing bans for users and wads will be moved over also.

Will there be documentation on how to use the web interface?
Yes. I will be making a wiki that will explain every bit of it in detail.

Hey! I liked typing in a very long commands!!!! Can we still do that?
There is an area that will allow you to import your old bestbot command lines to make this possible.

Does that mean I/my wad will be unbanned?
lol no.....

If we donated in the past (or became a pateron) do we keep our extra slots?
Yes :)

Will the web interface bring in new features?
Yes. We will be working on a few things to add to your experience while using TSPG. We dont have a road map as of yet but one thing thats on the cards is other game support. More on that later though I guess!

The big question... when is this all happening?
We are going to do this in a couple of weeks. Dark-Assassin needs to finish off a few things and we still going to need the doco's anyways. We will of course announce when its close to swap over.

Thats it for now. Watch this space!!!

This sounds dumb, but will configs still be able to be used?

I'm seeing registrations from people, but they're not activated even though I have email activation enabled. I need to know if this is working or not.

I tried to register on the website, but it never sent me an email. Is there a way to resend activation emails?

Hmm, weird. Well, I activated the accounts manually.

Thanks! So far I was able to host servers with ease, but I found a decent amount of things aren't there but should be:

1. Vote settings. Probably one of the most important things to configure (to me) ain't there to be messed with.
2. No NTC* autoload. Not sure if this is on purpose, but I noticed it isn't loaded automatically on the servers I started.
Looks like you guys added it or somehow I never saw it the first time. Now I have two more things about these two points;
1b. It's just who can vote and what can be voted. The things that also should be there are:
Amount of players required to vote
Vote flooding protection checkbox
1c. It says that newtextcolours_260.pk3 is autoloaded, but it isn't. ???

3. It doesn't automatically generate a WAD list page for the servers. The URL is just stuck at 'http:'
4. When attempting to host a server without logging in, it tells you to login. When clicking on "Login", it sends you a 404. http://i.imgur.com/yOXNkZn.gifv
5. This one is strange. The first time I hosted, the WADs and opt. WADs were loaded. The next times I tried hosting, only the OPTIONAL wads were loaded, and not the required ones.

* - new text colours

Hey guys, We will be swapping over to the web interface this weekend (Saturday for me, most likely friday night for you) we will be forcing a restart on all servers however and will also be de-commisioning the #tspg-painkiller channel so we can re-name it to #tspg

We'll send out more notifications closer to the time. In the mean time, Get prepared. Documentation is not done yet but as soon as we launch I'll will be working on it. Makes taking screenshots easier etc.

Excellent work. The LAST thing I am iffy about is the logout confirmation. Is it really necessary? :wonk:

Man, the new UI for starting servers is a giant leap in the right direction. Obviously there's little bits to iron out but overall I am a huge fan of this change.

Thanks to everyone who has supported TSPG for it to be where it is now. Rough spots aside, everyone involved with the switch has done a fantastic job and it brings Zandronum to a way more elegant method of hosting servers easily.

I just tried to log in, and I get "Error Login failed." The I tried to register, thinking that maybe the system is starting from scratch, but is says that my name is already in use.

EDIT: Dark Assassin helped me in IRC, and I am now logged in. In case somebody else has the same problem, the solution was to make sure I had a capital E at the beginning of my name, to make it exactly match their database.

Any reason why "sv_motd" is disallowed again? It used to be fine in configs but now it's invalid again.

Is is (or would it be) possible to upload .cfg files and load them on the site instead of doing everything manually? It was just easier to host on the fly the old way.

EDIT: Nevermind, Marcaek told me in IRC.
