The Skulltag forums return!

#1

Post by HTG » Tue Mar 28, 2017 9:55 am

Hey all, with the help of wartorn for giving us the backup and dark-assassin for hosting, we now have a backup of the skulltag forums!. We had to remove a couple of things before we made these public, but everything should be stable.

This backup should have every post from 2009 to 2012, so enjoy!

Woo! Now with less Russian scams!
Just remember that you cannot do any database related stuff yet. This means logging in and posting and such.
Also most images are gone since it's been a while.

I believe there are a few blank topics showing up that were previously deleted on the st forums, the majority should still be available however.

Blame Affliction
I can't configure nginx locally, and he's the only one with root access.
Anyway, SSL isn't needed since logins are disabled so don't use it.

Great work admins. Time to reread some nostalgic drama.

Ah, vintage 2012 Watermelon

...And that seems to be everything. Looks like most of the OG posts are gone, oh well.

I know what's going on there. Anything linking the ST forums on that archive links to the actual ST forums rather than within the archive.

I've noticed a lot of missing topics myself, and i don't seem to see any topics dating back further than 2008. I'm afraid this is more of an issue with the skulltag forums at the time (threads were getting deleted randomly iirc) than the archive itself. Most topics from 2009 onwards (aside from the SICL subforum) are available.

Finally the backup is here delivering ST''s rich history and delicious drama.

It's also strange to see how people's posts changed throughout the years.

Finally, I've been wanting to see a post that happened just before the forums closed since forever.
