I don't like wallpapers. Totally don't understand people that use them. You are using your software, not staring at your desktop, zzz.
Have a lot of RAM and forget to close things. Although when I had less RAM I was forgetting to close things too.
I also hate Windows 8 and 10 because in their desktops two taskbar rows have the same size as three in Windows 7 classic.

It's for like personalization purposes. Gives your desktop a neat look.
