Greetings to everyone here!

I am an artist, a bit of a 2D animator, and as it turned out recently, I am also a spriter, well, and just a player in Doom 1/2 and mods for it.

Relatively recently, I started helping my friend with sprites for his mod, without even thinking that it would grow into something more than just help. However, as my friend told me, I'm good at it; he also gave me an idea that I could make art related to sprites public, so I created this theme here (again, with the help of my friend).

In general, now here I will publish all the sprites that I made or edited. I hope that the few works available at the time of writing this post, although the first, but not the last, and this topic will not be empty.
And yes, there was a time when I created something based on the existing sprites (it is possible that I will do this in the future) and I will definitely indicate the authors of the original works. If I forgot someone or specified something incorrectly - correct me.

By the way, I'm not against requests. If you need to make or edit a sprite, you can ask me about it by writing to me in private messages, directly to this topic or even by mail, if it is more convenient for you (august.dubstep@gmail.com).
There are no restrictions - I can draw whatever your heart desires, the main thing is to describe as clearly and in detail as possible what you need, after which I will fulfill the request for some time (so far I cannot name a more exact time for completing the work, besides I am busy and make sprites when there is time for it, so I ask all customers to be patient and don't be afraid that I forgot something, because I will remember everyone and will definitely do everything).

A few words about my friend. He (his name is Aerakh, also known as TheSkyBug, maybe you even know him) is just wonderful and he makes a wonderful mod, it was for this mod that my first sprite works were done. I would very much like the results of our joint labors not to go unnoticed (although I have not invested as much effort and time into my friend's mod as he did).

And these sprites do not belong to me, they were just edited by me. It seems like this is the second thing that I drew (more precisely, edited) to help a friend. He needed sprites for the character, but he himself is experiencing problems with creating sprites, and at that moment he did not want to let me do something too complicated, so a sprite that was as close to the desired appearance as possible was found and modified by me to the state in which is now. The sprite itself from Shadow Warrior by 3D Realms. Correct if not correct.
Fun fact: I also did voice acting for this character (for my friend's mod).

This horror character with a happy face is UBOA, created by KIKIYAMA. The authorship of the sprite, it seems, is also behind the same author. Initially, the sprite did not have rotations and it looked like a face that is always turned towards you, which, perhaps, could have been scary if it did not look low-quality (author, do not be offended if you are reading this, because this is just my subjective opinion). Since my friend would like to see this character in his mod, he asked me to make a rotations for this one. Actually, here they are.

The main sprites do not belong to me, they are taken from the CDI mod, however, their author is unknown, since the author is not exactly Blood, as my friend said. And this is again the sprites for my friend's mod, the link to the topic with which is above. What did I do? The main sprite was slightly modified - the shoulder cannons looked unsymmetric, which I fixed. To the main sprites, I also added animations for shooting from shoulder cannons, which are now exactly two. And as a final touch, I added the original animations of the shot from the shoulder cannons for the first-person view, which I did myself, this is also necessary for the mod, since this character has such an attack there. Everything is collected here at once: slightly corrected main sprites, added sprites of attack from shoulder cannons, as well as the original first-person view animation - all sorted into folders inside the archive.

The original sprites of the incarnation of Cthulhu, made by me at the request of a friend. It was made for the more than once mentioned mode of my friend. There are not many sprites themselves, since there are no rotations according to the idea. There are flight sprites (5 frames, until Cthulhu attacks); attack preparation sprites (2 in total) and variations of the attack itself (4 pieces); as well as 2 sprites of the destroyable statue (a whole version and a destroyed version, with the remaining lower part), from which Cthulhu was hiding in it flies out (when statue is destroyed). Be careful with the hitboxes, as the wingspan is large, unlike Cthulhu himself.

A turret for the character of my friend, character is a female mechanician. I made two frames of muzzle flame (which for some reason the turret did not have initially), the turret itself did not change. I don't know who made the original sprite of the turret, but the turret from Duke 3D (by 3D Realms (?)) is taken as a basis. Also in the archive you can find the weapons of this character. The weapon is a nailgun from Quake 4, sprites are made/ripped, presumably, by Raven.

Brutally killed by the native americans, and then raised from Hell, the undead cowboy Memento. The sprites are not mine, but I have edited them so as to turn an ordinary cowboy into a resurrected and embittered undead. The archive contains both the dead cowboy himself and his weapons: a rifle and a revolver. I also made original interface elements specially for him in the form of serifs associated with a receiving of bonus damage from finishing off with a revolver. This can also be found in the archive. (If you want to download the HUD separately, now in the first post of the topic there is a separate section for such things, which will soon be replenished with other things.) The original Memento sprites were worked on by: Wad Factory, ID Software; the original gun sprites belong to: TorridGristle, Killing Floor; revolver sprites: DoomNukem, xenoxols; the hands were edited by me, the original was made by them: Blood, xenoxols.

Hand with spheres for one of the characters. Not an original work - a sprite from an unknown author and who knows where dug out by my friend - initially it was not in such good condition (author, do not be offended if you read this, because this is just my subjective opinion): just a gloved hand without anything, but in the center there is a hole, so almost only fingers remained. I fixed that, and at the same time put different kinds of animated spheres in this hand.

First-person hands for a character who had no hands at first. More precisely, they were, but wrong. And I myself drew the correct ones. You may even recognize from these hands who the character is and what he looks like, because I tried to follow the style of the main sprite. Or you just look at the end of the second link and enter the character's name into a search engine.

The weapon of my friend's character, character is a female mechanician. I completely redrawn the arm and repainted the weapon to match the colors more suitable for the main sprite. For a more convenient animation, the muzzle flame of the weapon is attached separately from the weapon itself, so you will have to connect them, but I think this should not cause problems. The weapon is a nailgun from Quake 4, sprites are made/ripped, presumably, by Raven. Also in the archive you can find the turret of this character. In the mentioned mod, there is such a mechanic: items that drop out of players upon death, which can be picked up. These items are souls that differ from team to team. It seems that these souls are the first thing that I myself painted to help my friend.

A destroyable statue of Cthulhu made by me. Also in the archive you can find Cthulhu himself, or rather something like him incarnation. It was made for the more than once mentioned mode of my friend. Cthulhu has flight sprites (5 frames, until Cthulhu attacks); attack preparation sprites (2 in total) and variations of the attack itself (4 pieces); the statue has only 2 sprites associated with its state (a whole version and a destroyed version, with the remaining lower part), and Cthulhu hiding in it flies out of it (when statue is destroyed). Statue can also be used separately from Cthulhu, as a decoration.

Something like an original egyptian stylized torch or floor lamp (?) for the egyptian temple, which, like the lamp, was made by me for a friend's mod. There is an extinct version with embers in the bowl and a burning version. I recommend animating the burning version in the order of the sprite numbering, but I think this is not critical. It can be used on any other locations similar in style.

Original work. More precisely, a lot of works that I spent a lot of time on. These are portraits and icons for characters from a mod that my friend is working on, wanted to make the visual component of his creation more lively and understandable. All this is done for certain characters and is quite specific, but I decided to publish portraits and icons anyway, because they may be useful to someone who will use/create sprites suitable for these portraits and icons.
CAUTION: Portraits and icons are relatively large in size and all together can weigh a lot, and also have a lot of translucent elements. Be careful with this, try not to change anything, and in order to adjust their size and integrate them into the interface correctly and without loss in quality, see how it is done in the "Inhuman Monstrosity" or "Quake Champions: Doom Edition" mods.

First update! What has changed?
- New sprites for one character have been added: main sprites + sprites for the first person view;
- The first post was slightly improved;
- Links was updated, as I uploaded new versions of the files, which is due to the fact that I renamed all sprites (I recently learned some technical nuances from a friend and renamed the sprites so that you do not have to do it);
- The text file "little explanation (multilang) .txt" was updated and added to one of the archives, in which was missing, although it should have been.

This day is finally come! Second update!
Changes:
- added Cthulhu and him statue original sprites;
- added HUD sector in first post;
- added female mechanician's turret and weapon sprites;
- added cowboy Memento's (my friend's character) and his weapons + original HUD sprites;
- fixed tank's sprite names (again);
- added Enblazer's first-person view horn original sprite.

The third update, after so much time!
Changes:
- added a section with particles;
- added bone fragments particles;
- added a pulsating blood ball, which can be used both as particles and as a pick-up item;
- added an egyptian style torch in two variations;
- added a lot of portraits and icons that I've been working on for a long time. They are all in one big archive, and if you want to look at them better without downloading this archive, you can do it in my profile on ArtStation! (link in the first post)
