What is Thursday Night Last Man Standing?

It's very simple, actually. Every Thursday we'll get together and play some good old fashioned Last Man Standing. Some weeks, it may even be Team Last Man Standing. We'll be mixing it up, using an old wad one week and a new wad the next, and everything in between. It will be an important goal for us to make sure we leave no stone unturned in finding the perfect wad for LMS, and we hope you'll help out too.

How Can I Get Involved?

Suggest wads! I can't stress enough how important wad suggestions are to making any event worthwhile. Almost everybody has that one wad they've held on to for the perfect event that everyone else has forgotten. This is your chance to get it played! All wads will be considered.

When?

Every Thursday @ 8pm EST

May I suggest Samsara/Naraka on Zdoomwars maps? I recall playing this combo once, and it was really awesome :D

i like this idea, it wil give some diversity and allows lms to shine more. i personnaly didnt had much chance to play oldskool lms.

Perhaps some DBAB LMS with Eon Weapons (of course!)?

By the way, are you going to make an IRC channel for the event?

This sounds pretty neat!

One of FNF's biggest challenges has always been balancing variety between gamemodes, as there are so many. This will be a really great way to help make that job easier by having an event solely for LMS/TLMS (which I'm not too sure how often played it is in FNF right now anyways so yeah.)


One thing I should probably point out also is that, there is a channel called #zan-events that has been around for a bit. The original idea for the channel was to garner public attention to community events as a whole, but for right now it is just a quiet place for all Zandronum event organizers to sit down and chat amongst each other, and passing ideas along.

Oh god now I have to start playing Doom again. What have you done?!

An IRC channel is actually one thing I did not think of. I'm not sure yet if we will have our own channel, but I'll certainly put #zan-events on my autojoin and see what's up there.

As for wad suggestions, I meant to make a thread dedicated to them. I'll do that right now. Glad to see I'm not the only one who loves LMS :)

Will this event ever run again or is it permadead

I would like to give it another shot when my schedule becomes more realistic, which will be at the end of this month.
