General IRC Rules

Included with
the rules from the MOTD thread, these are some rules that if broken, on a case by case basis, may result in a G-line/akill. Please be advised that a kill is not the same as a g-line. It is, in simple terms, a kick from the IRC server.
- Repeated harassment (Racism, sexism, discrimination) and abuse. Respect others as you feel you should be respected. No bullying, taunting or provoking dramatic behavior.
1 warn, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year, permanent.
- Channel flooding, spamming multiple channels.
1 warn, 1 kill, 1 day g-line, 1 week, 1 month.
- Spreading NSFW content (With malicious intent), hacks, cracks, warez, abandonware and malware. (Via PM or public)
1 month, 1 year, permanent.
- Requesting hacks, cracks, warez, abandonware.
1 warn, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, permanent.
- Impersonation.
1 warn, 1 kill, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, permanent. (Don't think I've seen it that excessive).
- Evading channel bans and ignores. (Intentional)
1 warn, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year.
- Evading G-line.
Add 1 month for every evasion
- What am I missing?

Mass highlighting. Certain people have done that before for a certain reason, and it pisses a good number of people off.

Yeah but that's a rule for #zandronum. People do it in #pro and places like that.

You should expect it in places like #priv for when people try to get priv matches going, or clan channels when people want scrims.
However you should not be highlighting everyone in #zandronum for any reason really.

That's another thing actually, I noticed channels like #pro and #vgl are being used to highlight for priv. Don't know why people dont use #priv more.

Actually, mostly #el and #pro. But I dunno either why.

Flooding or Misuse of services?
That would include Nickserv Brute Force and Ghosting/Logging in accounts that are not yours.

Should add in 'anything that violates laws in the country this is hosted, or violation of any laws that can affect the network as a whole' and some kind of ban there. Most of this has been covered, but who knows if some stupid law somewhere could bring grief to our IRC servers.

Have you tried reporting it to #staff? Capo "jokes" or not, shouldn't be tolerated.
