Hey folks.

Got a few changes and stuff to announce. Firstly Konar6 is officially retiring from staff. We will be in the middle of migrating his IRC services to our servers. This also means that we will have more staff spots open to facilitate IRC ops.

Now, lately you would of seen the "Should such and such should be unbanned from the forums?" From what we have gathered, people who wanted some people gone... forever... dont believe in the perma bans. Now I do disagree with the whole "no one should be perma banned" thing but I digress. We came up with an awesome idea.

Normally (unless you dun fucked up good and proper, wont mention any names) you go through warnings and a suspension and then, a ban. We are going to change this up a little. For the forums, we are basically getting rid of the ban part and place it very last. What will happen now is if you get enough warnings and go through suspension and you are still breaking the rules and such we will place you on "indefinite post moderation"

Basically you will be forced to wait for your post to be checked out and approved before it appears publicly. The only way out of indefinite post moderation is if you can show staff that you can post appropriately without breaking the rules and so on and forth. For those who are worried about censorship, don't worry. We are not going to be using this method to censor your opinions or anything like that. Your post will get disapproved though if it breaks the forum rules, personal attacks so on and so forth (not limited to these things by the way)

This will allow those who would normally get banned an opportunity to change and improve. Trying to Evade this or having your posts rejected too many times may lead to a ban.

I am also happy to place those who are currently banned from the forums on this new system, as long as they have never ban evaded before and have not done anything to warrant being nuked out of the community/game by doing illegal activities such as doxxing/DDosing.

Now i gota stop posting and get home. Ive got more to add which I'll either add another post or edit this one when I get back. Stay tuned.

No, I have no idea what you are talking about...

I don't mind this idea but I also feel like the reason some people want to come back is and I say with respect because we all have things we like to post when something comes up that interests us as human beings we want to reply to it, it also goes without saying that some people do have trouble moving on from things and this is what causes a person to come back on another account and beg for them to be let back in, in saying that I do not have a problem with this system either.

That idea is nice our moderators won't have time to slack because of this now. Good job MifU putting more burden on lazy moderators!

Slowmotion (aka Azazel) is never being unbanned. Also this has no bearing on Grandvoid's servers.

Thank you Konar6 for hosting the Wiki a few years back and helping to keep the wiki alive for so long. In addition, thank you for your contributions that you have provided for this community. It has been great working with you

Good luck to you and your future endeavors!

This is kinda cool imho. And I'm not paranoid enough to think that the zan staff would want to impose censorship it's just a tiny game community ffs.

Also, thanks Konar6 for being such an awesome chap. :)

I think I said this before in #Zastaff but you should really have someone or yourself codify the rules. I attempted to find it here but got 404'd. Probably simple rules with short definitions will go along way to prevent people from asking "what rule says I can't x"; otherwise, I don't mind the new system at all since I was the recent prototype of post moderation aside Zakken. Moderator Preview is worst than bans and I know this from plenty of experience on an Armored Core forum where I'll be placed in moderation once every month.

This is a good change! Could've used a better title than just "More news" though. Sounds a lil' overdramatic. :P

It's a great new system that'll allow us to continue to control the narrative, a good step in the right direction overall.

Good riddance to one of the most lethargic server admins and ircops ever.

Thanks for keeping GV around this long at all, even if I disagree with how you tend to manage things.

Do you like AC 1 or 2 better?

Some of the missions in 2 were pure bullshit.
