I saw a discussion of this in Discord. Support for Win XP was accidentally dropped by using a later version of ... something I don't remember ... than XP supports.

This build should be XP compatible. The problem was that recent OpenSSL versions don't work under XP when built with the default compile flags.

EDIT: I urge you not to use XP anymore an a computer that is connected to the internet. Don't misunderstand the existence of an XP compatible binary as official XP support of Zandronum.

It's great to be able to intervene in the armour and damage process. But damage that the armor failed to absorb couldn't be overwritten.
This is my misunderstanding. It worked.

Over the weekend the official 3.1 Windows build were re-uploaded, fixing the issue with XP, and updating the installer's bundled Doomseeker to 1.3.3.

Unfortunately no unless you can find that file inside the ZIP/PK3 using Slade 3 and delete it or rename yourself.

Can someone tell me if 3.1 can play 3.0 Demos? I have some All Out War 2 Matches I still want to video capture.

Nope. Generally demos can only be played back in the version they were recorded in.

however u can still download 3.0 to play 3.0 demos https://zandronum.com/downloads/
