Conclusion

We, the ZDC admins. Would like to thank each and everyone of you for actually making this, not only happen, but to succeed!

Sure it became a little slow towards the end, but people still took their sweet 20 minutes - 40 minutes or so to get their games done.
We had some DQ's but not every league is perfect, I know the last season of EDL for instance on ZD had more DQ's than this. ZDDL (ZDL now) are having difficulties as well. It's all about timing and will really.

But still; 32 players in a league/tournament, for Zandronum, is not bad! We all had our doubts, and frankly, we kinda got to eat them up later on.
Out of 64 matches in total, there were only 5 disqualifications! Which means 59 matches actually got played, and that's more than I would ever predict from a port like this. 59/64 is roughly 92%.

We will be making more of this, maybe a season now for the upcoming winter.

Anyway, we appreciated all this and we hope you appreciated the time and effort we put into this league!

For the next time, let's aim for 100% complete matches!

Over and out! // ZDC admins

Good job. Might be interested in participating next time.

Luckily duel tournaments are so simple that it's hard not to play your matchs. Anything else normally flops unless the team are extremely dedicated. Pretty much why the IDL does so well.

This went really great, definitely beyond any of our expectations.
Hopefully by spring I'll be available to contribute to this league more, should any future season commence then (I am pretty confident it will)
People were active enough, most matches were balanced (Many 39-40, 1-2 wins), and even though it went full afterburner at around the first 2 weeks after which the pace became slower, it eventually ended without many forfeits besides a few (mainly from div4 for which most participants were arbitrarily picked)
Still, getting 32 people to sign up (in less than 24 hours) and having almost everybody finish their games without problems, was a great achievement, and goes to show the great potential of competitive play in this port.
We would like to thank each and every one of the participants and of course the organisers/assistants, and a very special thanks for the developers of this port who released Zandronum 1.0 on a perfect timing with the Championship's premier!
And of course to those who did not believe this would suceed, whom we have managed to prove wrong
