The one and only sgt mark turns 25 today. This creator of wads is probably one of the most creative artists of Doom history. He single handedly revived the doom scene with his single creation, earning collectively millions of views online for no reason.

His unique outlook on other humans lives is also another fantastic trait about this young prodigy. Assisting a fellow depressed player alleviate his eternal pain with a painless way out shows the epitome of mercy that is held within this bright young author.

I wish you the merriest of birthdays, and I hope you continue to improve upon your career!

The other threads concerning 'popular' individuals at least had to offer some discussion of value. This thread is just pointless. Unless a pointless thread is justified for the sole reason of being in the Fun&Games section. Is that how it works?

We all know that the Doom community thrives from drama.

I would personally rather see some more activity in the projects subforum, the resources subforum and a few tutorials rolling as well. Articles, reviews and other such texts. That actually provides good reads and deep thoughts. This here is just mindless.

That would be fine if the purpose of this thread was the one of an actual birthday thread. Obviously, this specific thread's purpose is a bit different than that. It was made so a number of people can post snarky comments about another individual, and/or potentially cause drama. It was fine when that individual's actions were analyzed and discussed before and people came to the conclusion that the individual's not a good person. But this is out of place imo.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to defend sgt mark nor do I have an affinity towards him, nor do I like or play brutal doom. I just don't think threads like these belong to the forums, no matter what person is in question. Maybe on IRC or in-game where everyone can dick around, but not here honestly.

Wtf why is everyone so angry :-( I just made this thread to wish sgt mark a happy birthday, i have no problems with him.
