Go ahead. Do a small wad for disabling 3D floors on a map and send it to me then.
If you say you won't, you're the one that's lazy.

Developers, can you tell us if one's able to create an option on a map to disable it's 3D floors?
Doesn't really make him lazy, though neither are you for not doing it.

One don't need to be a genius to implement that. Just make the 3D floors go below the map and change offset of some middle textures to enter the map and spawn some invisible floor pieces.
Not hard, but does not help performance wise, which totally renders this whole approach useless.

DECORATE: I can make more or less any godawful hack I need. Doesn't mean it works, though.
Maps: I only map for testing ACS.

Make a copy of the exact same map and delete the 3d floors. Hopefully it should compress well if both maps are put in an archive since they're almost identical. At least on UDMF it should...

The setting was meant to be for each player to choose if they want 3D floors or not. And they were supposed to not be rendered att all in this case to reduce lag.

I wasted my time trying to count how many frames are in each scene. 3 frames (except for the doors closing, but that's like 2 more frames for the doors, doors have more frames than more important things).

This animation does not do justice to Living Tombstone's music (which is pretty decent for indie though his older stuff is way better)
