Just curious to see the first wads some people played. For me it's the Atlantis map from the doomwadstation site. Was a pretty decent map and brings back some decent memories

Edit: First online map was zm01 from zombie horde but for some reason I cant remember anything I played right after that map

Probably first aside from d1 and d2 would've been dwango5 maps.

Something my grandpa made, that's for sure. It was for DOS, made with Deepsea. Not sure which of the many it was, but i do still have one of them.

i think it was Mars Wars. i have the original doom games but they come with the "source port" Doom95, and with them you could easely play with pwads. one of the first ones i remember to have played is Mars Wars, which was the first one too i managed to complete

I clearly remember it with someone going all like "Leonard is a noob" and suiciding over and over again in front of me as I was trying to change my settings :p

If you mean the very first map it was PSX doom's map01 with my father and brother.

First multiplayer wad was drown in blood, map 15.

Rjump2v5 (It's 2v6 now, last I checked) map16.

First offline non-official map was a really old wolfendoom wad

First online map was ST Stock DM or cybercrime maybe on CQU

I was amazed custom maps for Doom even existed.

I believe my first was either a very old version of invasion UAC or coopbuildm (on Zdaemon)

First custom map was D2INV1. I was amazed.

First official map: probably e1m9.
Edit: No, wait! It was e1m1. I remember I was scared of a gibbed body because it looked like a claw on the floor.
First Custom map: Some western-styled maps (not fistful). Edit2: Ah, it was Boothill.

The first map would be DooM e1m1 ofc. My first custom would be strain. And online is that mapin AOW2 with the riverbed and caves on the side.

First map was E1M1.

First PWAD was this thing, it was one of 40 PWADs contained on a pair of floppy disks, with a bunch of batch files named from Extra1 to Extra40 (fball7.wad being Extra12). This is before shit like D!Zone took off, so having 40 more levels to play -- no matter how shitty -- was something of a big deal at the time. Needless to say the novelty value of trying to kill all the Cyberdemons in this map wore off soon enough. First LAN PWAD was another in this set (Extra14), and it's actually a pretty good map for one so old.

First PWAD I played online was Alien Vendetta, on a co-op server just as MAP20 was beginning. What a way to start things.
