Is it? It is only a tiny bit larger than your own! But, if you insist, I can take off the Blue's TS link to make it shorter. :3

why did you bail on the idl in such a fashion, abandoning a captain spot and a spot on the board
Ah, yes. Back to the IDL topic...
I left because of lack of motivation. Many events that occurred up to the point I left and the league's drastic change of image pretty much caused it.
IDL probably could've done one more season outside of Odamex, given its lack of a few features (no PWO for season 12, certain mouse options) and a few severe bugs. MAP16 of the IDL wad had a lift that bugged sometimes, shots would get delayed permanently if you lost a few packets, whiffing occurrences (it was rare from my end, but it seemed to happen a lot to low-ping players). They hosted an IDL-R a couple of months before announcing the port change. They should've switched places, that is, to host another IDL season on ZDaemon and IDL-R on Odamex. That would give the port some proper ironing out before realizing the big move, and it wouldn't be so whimsical.
The lack of respect a bunch of players had for the league was quite disappointing as well. In my very first season as a cap, I had the misfortune of drafting somebody without knowing the person that well (BloodStrike, in case you were wondering). It was truly upsetting how he decided to bail on my just because our standings were low, specially considering he was pretty excited at the beginning. I had a good replacement (Watermelon), but it was still a tiresome season overall. Remember when SGS (Hatred, Collision and Shakal's team) gave up on Odamex mid-season? They stopped playing while they had full potential to make into the playoffs and, therefore, potentially change their outcome entirely. How sad. And, to top it off, as season 13's preparations were still underway, the commish was looking for captains to fill in the ever-so vacant spots. General interest was dropping dangerously. There was a single spot left to fill, and I suggested Dragon (AKA Zettec/Pollution/Sinistr), but he showed interest for Tenchu instead. I insisted against his preference, to no avail. Now, we all know how that ended up (*cough* BBCya *cough*). Meanwhile, the team Dragon himself participated in reached the MasterBowl. Quite funny, if I may say so myself.
Dewww's behavior turned me away from the league quite a bit. Not only from his constant #idl banhammering, but also because of his threats to leave the board or the league entirely purely because of either the
possibility of Jenova participating for a season (and he had or still has lots of bad blood with him) or because #idl wouldn't respect him after his drunk rages. Being the leader of the board and all, it tainted the league's reputation a bit, in some people's eyes. I even confronted him in many of his bans, but no agreement was concretized. At some point, HumanBones himself was showing lack of interest in IDL itself, being in a grumpy mood more often through the months. It is kind of demotivating when the league's main man starts to show visible signs of fatigue and disappointment.
As far as my captain spot is concerned, I wasn't the first one to leave while being so. Tenchu, Hatred and Nautilus bailed too, but none of them were reprimanded as much as I was. My position in the board? It wasn't worth much, let us be real. Our only real job as board members was to vote on league structure changes, and that's it. To make up numbers to decide what gets done or not -- not very different from a jury. I guess it also gives you more voice to discuss about league matters in a separate place, but any IDL veteran should have the same privilege. Being part of the board is not a big deal as it sounds, truth be told. People also ripped on me because I was an easy target, which was rude. I was pretty sick of it by the time the 5-page drama thread came to be. Talk about blown out of proportion. I decided not to talk much about my reasoning at the time it happened because it would just fall upon deaf, angered ears. Any arguing I'd make would've been in vain. Still, I gave it a try, and guess what: that is exactly what happened!
In the end, these dedicating false promises towards the league and then abandoning it halfway through... I had to review my thoughts about IDL, because it's not like all of those quitters, and not just those who left during a season, but also those who stopped signing up (aside from BloodStrike, that guy is a bitch ass) were out to ruin IDL, specially Hatred, who supported it for such a long time. They must've had good reasons to do so. It is safe to assume that the league has been going downhill ever since Ralphis stepped down from his post. I'm not saying Bones did his job poorly, but he doesn't have the character Ralphis has. Ralph did a better job at getting hype and giving IDL a more heated personality, both of which are very important for the health of any kind of competitive gathering, instead of just managing the teams and updating the rules, and all of the other "obligations" one has to do as a commish.
It was a good decision of them to give IDL a break. Maybe it was also a good decision to bring it back just after this year's QuakeCon hyped it up a notch. Maybe they will get back into action, now that word on the street is this version of Oda is actually attracting everyone. However, if you want to talk about me coming back, refer to my first reply in this thread.
All questions regarding IDL were probably addressed in here, so I don't want to argue this any further. I won't turn this into another dramatic thread. Other subjects related to the league are fair game though. C:
