Where does your avatar come from?

#1

Post by darklight64 » Thu Oct 04, 2012 11:02 pm

Everyone on a forum has some unique avatar they choose to represent themselves. Where does yours originate from?
Mine was cropped out of the "Mass Effect Cartoon Debut Trailer".

Oh man, that Mass Effect cartoon is hilarious. Anyway... mine is from the anime, Bleach. Hollow Ichigo, one of my favorite characters.

My actual eye. Yes that's my eye. And it's not photoshopped.

Apogee basically splintered into iD and 3D realms, IIRC.

Mine is Mobius' twin brother.
We are you. We are the madness that lurks within you all, begging to be free at every moment in your deepest animal mind. We are what you hide from in your beds every night. We are what you sedate into silence and paralysis when you go to the nocturnal haven where we cannot tread.

A quiet shed in the woods surrounded by small woodland creatures.

Ah, no.
Wolf3D, Keen and such were all developed by iD and published by Apogee.
iD then went on to self-publish DooM while Apogee's inhouse team developed Rise of The Triad.

Tom Hall left iD for Apogee shortly before the release of DooM.

3D Realms was simply a branding label Apogee chose for its 3D games.
3D games became a huge hit, and the label stuck.
