Which leads me to my question; what was your favorite era of Skulltag (going by releases)?

Nah, not Mobius. Gonna guess Simk or, less likely, Mr. Cheater.

Simk and Mr-Cheater were just simple trolls. The people behind the events Metal described were led by a guy named Harrison, and they were more extremists than trolls. They REALLY did not like Metal, and were prepared to do anything to see her de-throned. Those were some interesting times, and we'll definitely never see anything like that happen again.

Either 1994 or 2000. Good stuff happened in both those years.

I honestly don't think it will happen again, at least I hope it doesn't. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I'm not really sure who it would happen to because it could be anyone. But they usually target people who they think it might bother, or people who can be easily blackmailed/persuaded into giving into their demands.
