The themes however will have to be trashed as they will be completely incompatible. Total overhaul to the base design and it would be too much trouble to fix the themes than start again.
uhhh.....

That will be a bit of a problem. Possible to make new themes based on our current ones?

Sorry, I cannot provide any feedback at this time, but I will say in regard to the like system,

I'm on http://www.reflexfps.net/forums/index.php and they have a like system. Some people use, some don't. I don't see a problem with it though. I don't understand the concerns (expressed in this thread) about it. If anything, it's nice to know what posts are liked, and liked by who. In fact, I find it quite interesting to see who liked my posts, and it can possibly lead to relationships with those people (this has not yet happened with me, but it's possible) that you know have same things in common with you and your thoughts.

I don't see how it can be abused, or how--if abused--has a negative impact on the forums.

I guess so. Pretty much purple and blue, nothing too complex.

Yea, that.
I use my own custom theme instead of the available forum themes.

By the way I have a suggestion,

Can there be an 'unfinished matches/tournament' section? There were many topics (tournaments in particular) that never finished and I moved them to the finished section because there wasn't a public place to shame all the hosts that unfinished.

Also on another note it would be good to see strictly what tournaments are ongoing and how many etc (instead of seeing a bunch of topics surrounding them), all this aside from the shaming :D

Those were kind of cool yeah, but new maps should be featured if that returns.

Indeed, it was a cool feature, but if implemented, I hope it's not gonna be limited like skulltag one, where it was Always the same pictures.

About the Staff, they're great guys, I thanks alot to Metal to fix me in the Dark ages of ibm into Skulltag era

How about a skype field for the profiles of users. I don't know anyone who uses AIM anymore other than myself.

I think more fonts should be supported. I also have a problem with overlaying colors such as this which is supported almost in every modern forum. I have to literally close the tags each time a new color is introduced and reopen them for the same one instead of having a piece of a line using a different color inside of an existing tag. We need more useless forum features too such as superscript, subscript, indent, glow, and all other wacky additions for people with way to much time on their hands.

Heh, AIM and ICQ are embedded in MyBB and have been there for a very long time. But indeed the custom fields do need some updating.

The supported fonts are pretty much all that is commonly supported across operating systems. Pretty much known as web friendly fonts.
However, fonts can be imported and loaded, but that requires a few direct code edits, not a simple plugin.

How about the color tags and all the other aforementioned features? The fonts, from post preview, wasn't exactly friendly either and didn't show if I tried to use them.

Actually I came to the conclusion that MyBB is well..... shit

I could not even get an upgrade working right with the setup we use so I'm hoping to get a discussion rolling to see if we can change forum software

What specific problems are you having with MyBB? (Especially with the upgrade process)
