That was most likely an oversight by the moderators. IMO the Tournaments & Matches forum should be for Zandronum tournaments and matches only and I'm sure most would agree. If someone from ZDaemon posted a grudge match thread relating to ZDaemon drama here, it would most certainly get locked and sent to the trash. The same principle should be applied to advertisement threads like this. It's still not a Zandronum event, it shouldn't be put in a forum that's supposed to be for Zandronum events. Off-Topic is called just that for a reason - a place for topics not relating to Zandronum, which this thread is a clear example of.

I'm agreeing with Decay here-- something like this is not only cross-port in terms of the people joining, but it gives a chance to get better at doom, not Zandronum itself or one port or another. Sure, you may be playing on another port, but so are a lot of the other people around you. Is it really worth being port exclusive?
