RE: Opinionated Discussion

This was all an idea and a request from users querying me about it. I can't really tell if the majority of you think it's pointless, or if you want it back or not. I don't care either way. I have no problems with it being there, and I have no problems with it not being there. But since I see a lot of "What's the point?" posts, I'll answer try to answer to that. Again, as it says in the OP, it USED to be on the forums long ago, and I don't remember why it was taken down. But if I recall correctly, it was to initiate controversial and 'intellectual' debates revolving around all subjects in the world. ie: Religion, news, politics, etc. The sub forum allowed heated discussions and was the opening door to what we have now (More freedom, and flexibility with differing opinions). The sub-forum itself drew a lot of attention to daily forum-goers and was better eye-candy than the regular off-topic. Why not just use off-topic? Because a lot of people would rather something like that to have it's own space. (Maybe?)

If a lot of people really want it, I'll put it in. Again, it makes no difference to me.

^dats him

Basically, he was a stuck-up attention whore who made a new retarded thread in the "opinionated discussion" section literally every day. Something like "do you sleep naked?" or "what do you think of porn?" and would go on and on about how much he just loooooooooves lesbian porno.

Are you serious? Wow, someone seriously fucked in the head. I wonder why I've never seen this guy... I probably wasn't paying much attention.

My point: people are not as interested as you might think.
Maybe not in those topics.

I asked for everyone's opinion on it. I already gained your opinion...Twice. And they're both completely different.

This is asking a lot from this community.

That being said I support it, but I'm just wondering how useful it will be considering the sheer amount of dipshits and "trolls" there are here. Most people here probably couldn't even back up their arguments with anything substantial but I guess we will see!
I'm still at a loss to what topic is worthy of subsection. TBH this is one of the dumbest ideas I've seen around here since Cyclonix.
Can't tell if supporting...or against.

Anyway, anyone ELSE for or against this? I'd like to close this discussion up.

I don't know if this has been suggested or not, but what about a trial period? If it's practical to do, have the discussion section available for 2 weeks to a month, see how things turn out, and make a decision from there. The main idea is based on whether it's practical or not; if it's one of those things that is a hassle to get setup then my suggestion would not be viable.
