A long journey through hell lead you to a giant tower.
With a chance to escape, you must climb all the way to the top, and make your way through many puzzles and trials. Will you hone in your platforming skills and survive?
Or will you be stuck inside forever?

Jumpmaze X is an extended puzzle platformer mod that takes place after the original Jumpmaze's true end. The player is currently in limbo, and the only way to return home is to make your way out of hell. In order to do so you will climb the tower through an escalating difficulty curve, starting with maps that are very easy, and eventually moving to very hard maps. Upon completing each difficulty you will return to the tower for a breather map before moving on to the next floor and difficulty level, until eventually reaching the end.

These maps are more extensive, and can be way longer than the original Jumpmaze maps. You have been warned.

The project contains 39 total maps. There are 6 intermission maps (JMX00A-JMX00F), 30 main maps (JMX01-JMX30), 2 secret maps (JMX31-JMX32), and one bonus map (JMX33).
It also includes two ending maps based on how you finish the main game.
The first set of maps are designed to help get a feel of what to expect as you progress through the game.

As you progress, so will the difficulty of maps. Knowing how to strafe run and jump will make your life easier with future maps, as the gap lengths will increase and become impossible to make if you just jump straight.

Harder maps will also get more complex in length and style. Take a chance to look around and observe where the routes lead in order to progress your way through the maps.

Some maps will also split into an objective based route, where in order to progress you must take two routes or more in order to open a door or something similar. Look around for clues, such as health potions, in order to find your way through these more difficult maps. Only those who can master platforming, aircontrol, and other miscellaneous jumping skills will be able to reach the top and escape the tower.

Extras:
The checkpoint system:
Spoiler: Checkpoint Hub and Checkpoints (Open)
Image
Image
Checkpoints are marked by a hub based system placed near the start of each main map. Each map can have one or more checkpoints based on it's difficulty. To activate them, the player must walk into them, and then they can teleport between each checkpoint through the hub at the start. This is done to allow players to move freely through the maps should they wish to find any secrets hidden around. A save function also exists on each checkpoint should the player choose to do so instead of using Doom's save game feature. This only works offline however.

Lost Mudkips:
Spoiler: One of the 30 Lost Mudkips (Open)
Image
Each map contains at least one lost mudkip. If you find it, be sure to press use on it to claim it. Each kip has a name and a title assigned to them as well.
Should you find all 30, something "might" happen for the secret maps.
Should you find all 30, and the 2 secret mudkips, you might be able to reach the end...

Additional secrets and other events can happen throughout the maps depending on what you do. Explore each map and find each secret, or become a runner and zoom through the maps as fast as possible. The choices are yours.

Good luck!

Congrats on the release! From what I've tested, I'd say this is the best Jumpmaze mappack ever. To anyone who may not be too familiar or versed in JM, please check it out, this is about as good an entry point as you can get.
