Getting my best to translate from the Doom Dimension Thread Metal Invasion: Metal(Guy's) Invasion is an 2014 PK3 (formely WAD) originally made of Crappy, difficult and unsensational maps by me and former SKR member Sumolitodoomguy and "current" SKR leader Samuzero15tlh (METAL05 and 10 (Formely MTINV05 and 10)), however it got discontinued in 2015 due of numerous past problems of the clan and myself since it has some "memes" in this moment....

Back in 2019, i decided to take back the project after i attempted to re-map an INV map for Invasion Unleashed - Legion Of Sin however my new laptop got an Hard Disk failure so i bring back my old laptop to keep mapping in a new way learning rather my 0% past detailed maps for this PK3.

  • METAL09 - Minor Earth Major Sky (MetalGuy) (0% Done)
  • METAL10 - The Secret Of Baal and Ades (Samuzero15tlh) (100% Done)
  • METAL11 - Metallic Darkness (MetalGuy And Dark Girl) (0% Done)
  • METAL12 - Invasion For The Masses (MetalGuy) (0% Done)
  • METAL13 - Dignity (MetalGuy) (0% Done)
  • METAL14 - ? (UnTrustable) (??% Done)
Rules (if you want to map for this hehehe):
  • Maps must be in Doom in Hexen or UDMF format
  • Skulltag Content (Actors and Data) are required for this
  • You can use textures outside of the Skulltag Content or from the PK3, you have to credit the authors for this.
  • Same goes for the custom monsters, you have to credit too.

-Fixed few sectors in METAL01 and METAL02
-New Map Added (METAL14) by UnTrustable
-Added New Enemies: Mutant Pack (Normal, Gray, Hyper and Uber), Red Guard and more to add.
-M_DOOM Fixes as well more Graphics fix

V0.2:
-METAL01 and METAL02 added!
-Still the adventure of the maps are now established for 13 (METAL13).
-Changed title patches from Devotion Font to Doom Font
-MetalGuy's Invasion is Changed back to Metal Invasion due of various authors participating on this and it's obviously absurd that i should put that... Back to the old times

V0.1 (Beta State):
-Metal Invasion is now Known as MetalGuy's Invasion (this can be changed back if necesary)
-MTINVXX is replaced to METALXX
-New Monsters added
-Total Of Maps: 12
-Removed METAL10 (former MTINV10)'s Song due of copyright laws, replaced with
another one.

hey just to let you know that i can.t play the maps it looks really cool from screenshots but it says can.t find metal01 an i had load it with skulltag content

Cause i don't have inserted the map yet on the currently (V0.1) version.
V0.2 is coming soon... be patient!

EDIT: in this case you should put in the console Map METAL05 or METAL10 if you want to see those maps for a while.

well i think you are typing "MetalGuy05" and not METAL05... it's just METALXX (any map ex: 05 and 10) and not METALGUYXX

since i was so inactive due of my country's critical situation and i have a lot of time to keep mapping those maps for good!
EDIT: some changes as of 05-11-2019:
-Due of obvious reasons i decided to change back MetalGuy's Invasion to Metal Invasion and why? cause i, my friends and Samuzero are doing a lot of things and yet i prefer to call Metal invasion like what i did in 2014.
-There's a Resources link (see thread)
-if you want to use outside textures, take credit for those and this also goes for monsters that you use from (Ex: Realm, other WADs, etc.)

EDIT 2: More Changes! as of 15-11-2019 (I'm not gonna post about this change):
-METAL13 is called Dignity, yet no progress cause i'm still heavily progressing on METAL01
-More will be sooner when i can have the progress on to finish...

Long time ago, a old friend of mine and me, tried to make Doom maps with DoomCad6.x
We made HUGE and HUGE maps, and at some time we created maps and kept on returning small places from previous maps.
In this matter it was a small house, with only 1 window, and one door, one staircase to a little higher place like some sort of a bedroom.
We called these mapset 'Doompy', or actually, i called it that way.

I like to RE-create 1 map with that said small house, but this time in 3D floor.
Back in 1996-1997 we did not have 3D floors, although i already simulated it back in those days... :P

Nothing to show just yet... it will come.
The map will not become huge this time.

Back in the years, we did not have 3D floors, so only a friend of mine, MIGHT recognise 'the house' and its environment.
The map is still in 'working in progress'.
Maybe i used too much 3D floors like that half-fallen grey pilar in the back ground..?
Im already close too 100 3d-floor dummy sectors... :razz:

I just noticed, the map's layout however, works for deathmatch too....

V0.2 Is Released (With the time i'll be doing V0.2a, V0.2b, etc due of being busy with University)
Some Changes:
-M_DOOM has been modified
-Maps METAL01 and METAL02 are Added (however they're on a Beta State and maybe i'll be doing some modifications with those maps until they're on Final Version)
-Few Music are replaced as the Intermission Music
-More Textures are added

Known Issues:
METAL01:
-Lack of some Script and Action usages in Some Sectors
-The Access to the Secret Blue Room is Bugged, you can't enter by pressing use to execute the script.
-Waves 8, 9 and 10 Are Incomplete as well it lacks of detailing on the sectors (It repeats the same wave 7)
-Using any mod (example: Samsara Monster Mixer or Heirachy of Chaos) might bug Wave 5 due of DECORATE Collision on the monster actor "Overlord"

METAL02:
-Wave 5 Monsters are killing themselfes for Unknown Reasons

METAL10:
-Missing textures on few parts of the map
