Have you checked to see that you don't exceed the threshold, you might be over with the decibels on some of them which cause the shock/static sound.

I try to keep them below the threshold, but some parts of certain tracks are just loud so it can be hard sometimes. I'll be working to improve things over time, though.

E2M4 sounds a little odd with the boyish choir.

I love the Strife track in particular. What's the status of that if I may ask?

I've been working on Strife here and there. I just uploaded the d_tavern song and an updated version of d_mood. Links can be found in the spoiler in the first post.

Ok, I would like to throw out my two cents for the Strife tracks. The old d_mood track really fits Strife's atmosphere and I absolutely LOVE it. The other tracks? Eh, not so much personally. The updated version of d_mood doesn't really capture the atmosphere as the old track does. The d_tavern track kinda steers me off. The intro town theme caputures the mood, however when the higher pitches enter at 2:45 and try to blend in with the song, it just doesn't fit the initial atmosphere. I would lower the pitches. I dunno, im not so crazy about the d_tech song. I like the slower tempo, but I'm not so crazy about the "techno" vibe. The bending guitars are a cool feature in the song however. Leave those in.

Your songs do have potential, but I think you should revise them and stick to your old format of the d_mood atmosphere.

Well, I put previews on the thread to get opinions so I'll look into changing some things. Thanks for the suggestions.

Alright, so I've been spending a lot of time gathering some new samples and figuring out new ways to improve the quality of everything overall. I have the new version of Hexen's music partially done and may have a release within the next few days.

I managed to get into contact with Kevin Schilder, the guy who composed the music for Heretic and Hexen, and he likes my work! I sent him the new version of the completed Hexen soundtrack which is, by the way, released now! There are many new samples and things have been balanced out more including a new drum kit. The links in the Hexen section of the first post have been updated. Also, here is Kevin Schilder's music page on Facebook which he launched last year: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Music-and ... 7746525240

The Heretic/Hexen V2 soundtracks kick arse. :)

Awesome to hear you're in touch with Kevin Schilder! I love his work. And now I'm a bit jealous. :P

Ok so I have a long overdue announcement and it is that I will be doing a special 20th anniversary edition of the Doom games' music which will include Doom, Doom 2, and Final Doom TNT which should be out by December. More on that including previews should be coming soon.

Also, here's the first Rise of the Triad track I worked on: http://www.mediafire.com/listen/104b8qp ... T_E1A1.mp3 I'm not sure if I will do the full soundtrack or not due to the new game coming out having updated/remixed versions of at least some of the tracks, but we'll see.
