Solace Dreams is a horror survival, taking inspirations from games like silent hill and darksouls. The player will face off against a large variety of enemies & bosses in some of the most unique locations ever seen from a doom mod. This total conversion is standalone made to run exclusively for GzDoom, using such features like dynamic lighting and animated voxels. It has a estimated game play length of 2+hours and infinite replayability with newgame plus. Credits listed below.

STORY
The story telling is very vague with only subtle hints to give the player a small insight to world your about to play in. But the general story is that each Student of the class has died and has been cursed to live out there lives in a world manifested by there own guilt and obsessions. Each stage has its story to tell thats expressed through in game notes and level design, can you solve the mystery behind each of the demented levels you are about the venture.

GAME PLAY
The primary focus of this mod is mood and scenery cramming as much detail into each level as possible, just about everything in the game is made entirely of voxels with the exception of walls and flooring. This is a slow paced run and gun style shooter, that focuses heavily on its boss battles and level exploration. The game takes silent hills inventory system selection and uses it here, everything must be accessed through the inventory bar. The game at first is pretty linear introducing the player to the mechanics but then is entirely open world by the last half, so players experiencing difficulty or a shortage of items/ammo will be able to backtrack and switch stages.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Just a few things you need to know before you get started.
-Customize your controls to comfortably fit you.
-Pressing H (or key of your choice) will make interactive objects shine, useful for scouting items in dark or large areas.
-Manual saving has been disabled, use the in game camera locations scattered through the game to save. At least 1 can be found on each stage.
-Picking up a item, then pressing your assigned key will make the dialog disappear, this also applies for the diary entry.
-Its recommenced you play in full screen 1920x1080 forced 4:3.
-Bosses are Invincible until there health bar appears.

BENCHMARK
Due to the nature of extreme voxel use in this mod and the poorly optimised Gzdoom, some stages may be unplayable for most players, in this case use these commands found on this post to bypass any particular stage. Here is the benchmark required to play the mod smoothly... 4ghz CPU & 4gb Graphics card. Dont even attempt to play this mod unless you have said requirements.

Below is a step by step episodic walk through with a written guide of the game including all latest features and updated info.

TIPS
Each stage can be taken in any order. It is advised to explore each location fully before fighting any major boss, the strategy is just a guide for the individual stages. Try to conserve ammo and health as much as possible. Use knife & handgun for smaller enemies, Uzi & Shotgun for hordes and bosses. Keep your health at least 85% at all times, some bosses deal massive damage. Dont play this like doom guns a blazin', be cautious and approach this game like you would dark souls. Take your time and immerse yourself.

KEY

INTRO
Waking up in complete darkness, scared and alone.
Yuna must find her way out of this nightmare, will she ever find her salvation?

PART 1 - ClassRoom Hub
🔵Proceed to the desk under the light and pick up your diary.
❇️The diary displays objectives for the current realm your in.
🔵Interact with the newly spawned chalk board, then use the camera on the desk beside the chalk board.
❇️The camera is the games method of saving. SAVE OFTEN.
🔵Interact with the class room register on the table.
❇️The register displays what levels have been completed.
🔵Pick up the key on Ali's Diary at the back of the class on the desk next to yours, then exit out the southern door.
❇️Scattered Diary's are the games form of level selection. Simply interact with a diary to pick up the key then exit out the only door in this room.
❇️The eastern door is reserved for custom made mods from players.
❇️The western door is the gallery which is unlocked upon completing the game.

PART 2 - Darkest Dungeon - Ali's Nightmare
ENEMIES - Possessed Statue

🔵Proceed down the path and enter the double doors.
❇️Take note of all the separate pieces of armour you come across including the giant great sword at the beginning.
🔵Walk down the corridor and pick up the knife & some pain killers on the table.
❇️Your first weapon the knuckle knife is a short ranged weak but quick striking melee weapon. Great for 1 on 1 combat.
❇️Pain killers restores 25% health.
🔵Walk down the stairs to a new but similar room. Save at the camera and pick up the First aid kit then take the left door.
❇️First aid kit restores 50% health.
🔵Walk to the cross road and take the left path through the door to a big room with large wine barrels. Investigate and pick up the key on a barrel in the corner of the room.
🔵Back track to the save point, then enter then opposite room, The Prison.
🔵Use the lever in the eastern section of the prison to access the cells picking up the next key found on a bed in one of the cells.
🌕 SECRET (Dungeon Keeper) - In the prison find the cell with the bed sheets pinned to the wall, walk through the sheets to reveal the reference and first aid. Continue following the path and you will eventually find the dungeon heart. Speak with the mistress to gain her as a companion.
❇️The mistress is a weak companion with weak attributes. She is useful for distracting enemies. She will teleport to you when you walk to far from her.
🔵Back track to the cross roads with all the armour statues and take the right path this time and enter through the door.
🔵Activate the wheel mechanism here and back track to the save point.
🔵The closed gate should now be open for you to enter.
❇️You will spring a trap here, dont worry just keep your distance and the gate behind you should open before any serious damaged is done.
🔵Enter the double doors into the large courtyard. Here you will see a large figure in the distance, interact with it to discover your next objective.
🔵Now retrace your steps to all the pieces of armour you have seen scattered about the dungeon. Once all pieces have been collected head back to the figure.
🔵Once all pieces have been placed try to go back out the gate to engage in your first boss fight.
BOSSES - Ali

SKILL SET - Ground Smash / Charge / Blade Wave / Doppelgänger
STRENGTH - Hard hitting / Summoner
WEAKNESSES - Slow moving / Slow attacking / No ranged weapons
🔥COMBAT GUIDE🔥 Difficulty 😈😈😈😈😄
This boss can be very tricky right at the start with only your rusty knuckle knife. The key to this fight is simply evading his attacks and picking the best time to strike. A move to be very careful of is his Blade wave, dealing random based ranged damage if hit directly, when he pulls back to swing, quickly run behind him and slash away. And finally keep your distance when you see him getting ready to charge at you. Do not simply run backwards as this is very slow, face away from him and try and out run him. When his health reaches 25%, he will summon 2 invincible and untouchable clones of himself that are only capable of doing ground smash. Just keep your distance and wait for the right moment to strike. Eventually he'll go down and you will be free to leave.
🔵After beating the boss the "mysteriously locked" door where you found the boots will now be open. Get the key inside and open the locked door where the helmet was.
❇️Here you will find ammo and a upgrade perk for your knife. (These upgrade perks are extremely useful for upcoming fights.)
🔵Once your done here head back to the classroom hub.

been watching this nice buttrootpain sequel good job.

But only one question remains. Is this mod compatible with brutal doom?
