A couple of Skulltag deathmatch maps for 4-24 players. Please tell me what you like/dislike about them/how to improve them!

QUMP01 - A map I did a while back featuring a strong E1M1 influence. This map has not been updated since the last post.

we need more maps like this! details + gameplay ;), i don't like those maps with details everywhere and is a f*cking square :|, but this one have both!

As katZune said, you've found a very good balance between level design and detailing. I remember playing this map some time back, looks like you've made some improvements since then. Great aesthetics, good use of stock texture's, keep up the good work.

Also, I seem to recall this formerly being part of some mappack. Are you just tossing it up as a standalone map now?

So current issues with QUMP02 are...
  • Some people think the BFG is too easy to get. I think I'll swap the BFG and Blursphere, but make the lift normal speed. OR EVEN put the BFG in the cave. Unfortunately, I see no way around having a BFG somewhere.
  • Blurspheres suck. I think they're okay though, so ??? .
  • Fire plasma over the Railgun bridge in OGL if you think high FPS is overrated.
  • Chaingun spawn in the hallway is broken. Huh.

Both of these are Skulltag maps. To play in Zandronum they require skulltag_actors.pk3 (included with your Zandronum package) and skulltag_data_126.pk3 (linking r126 because it's the latest, but you could rip skulltag_data.pk3 from Skulltag 98d as well).

oops yeah that data solved more than one problem

Update:

QUMP01
  • Made the grenadelauncher harder to reach.
  • Made the windy hall windier.
  • Fixed the blursphere so you no longer need compat_nogravity_spheres.
QUMP02
  • Swapped the BFG and the blursphere.
  • Made the BFG-now-blursphere lift faster and bumpable.
  • Replaced the railgun jump pads with ladders.
  • Replaced the cell pack with a doomsphere.
  • Rotated the cave 180 degrees.

Don't put in BFG's, they suck for DM.

If you mean by sucking as in incredibly OP for DM, then yeah, remove 'em.

Aw c'mon, sometimes mindless spam is fun (lots of Execution DM maps). And, if it's hard to get, then getting it should be rewarding.

bfg is fine ONLY if u make obstacles (walls) and if hard to get
