I gave you criticism. I said it might be easier to do blood dropplets to indicate damage. I also offered my services to help make sprites.

Inkubus: What monster would you like to do?

Critism is good by the way, but i don't like the idea to greyscale them, and not by letting them bleed more while they reach 0 HP.
Sure the blood droplets are nice, i surely will add them to the monster, but its not meant to be an 'health-indicator'. :wink:

For whatever is worth to say, giving drama is the last thing i wanted to do.

I just didn't want to believe it.

It’s 100% your “choice”, aka your fault.

The only part people can blame me for is the fact that my behaviour, my manners forms from whatever i receive.
When i see bad.... i act bad... when i see sad,.... i become sad....When i see anger, .. i become anger.....
And that is the only part you can blame me for......
That i could not act good, while i got fed by bad.
So yeah, i will take THAT PART of punishment.

All i asked was some help,...help did not came...so there is no community project...
Oh wait.... 1 person offered some help.
I still dont know what monster he or she wanted to do.... so..... i was uncertain if i just understood that i received some help...
He did not asked for a slot.... so...there was still no help offering so to speak.

And so it happened... the way it happened....
So im not sure if my appologies are still worth to accept...??
But im asking again, who wants to help me out, and what monster do you choose to work on?

For what's its worth, I checked out that demo WAD with Baron and I think it looks neat. Would be cool for some ZDoom map.

Im use to click om the thumbs up, like on FaceBook, but i cannot do that over here, but if i could, ....i would.

I'm gathering these Caco sprites into the 'Monsters in hurt' wad file, together with what i have now of the Demon (Pinky)
And upload whatever is 'available' soon.
Credits about the caco is ofcourse YOURS. :wink:
If you like to do another Doom monster that is listed, i will be delighted.

Just a quick reply...
The Demon's decorate is not quite working as i wanted it to be.
I must say that its quite difficult to balance the different wound-stages within the range of 150HP....
To be honest, the Baron of Hell was much more easier to do :biggrin:
Take note, that once there is a updated-download link, the present - and 'redone' monsters are not completed yet.
They work, yes, but they all need some more work here and there....
No worries about that.

My intentions were to make his eye glow more when he is injured and fill the gaps between the "round-shaped cells" that form his body with
blood, especially at his back. Well if that is not enough, I will try to add something more.

Some sort of a short-circuit-overload combo?
Hmm..... well... nice thinking ofcourse.
I prefer some visible wounds, OR... we could make a combo of those two....??
I can write the code in such way, that the computer chooses which damage will be shown..?? :razz:

Anyways... i wrote one for the cacodemon. I am still testing 'm....
Maybe tomorrow there will be a newer download link.....

This is a good idea, surprised it hasn't been completed before. Visible monster damage was one of the planned features for Doom that didn't make it into the release:
There were some huge gameplay innovations in Doom: enemies that fight each other, a large variety of weapons and power-ups, par times for levels (based on Romero's inhuman speedrunning abilities, with thirty seconds added for padding). Some elements were lost – famously the initial press release promised persistent bullet holes and visible monster damage. Carmack is unapologetic. “You never, ever run out of things to implement... at some point , you have to make the judgement call tha the time lost by working longer is more important than the additional things you could bring to the game. I think we called it pretty good with Doom.”
