As you might remember (if you don't, I won't blame you) there was a mapping contest by this one Vinesauce streamer "VargSkelethor". Unfortunately I got fed up with his procrastination and lack of responsibility towards running a contest so I'm releasing this to public. I don't care for not receiving a reward, as honestly, it's been too long and I might just pay up for whatever steam game I want anyway.

The map requires GZdoom or Zandronum to run. Multiplayer is not supported. Skill levels are there.

What you can expect:
Code: Select all
- Tons of traps
- Vanilla action
- A nice bossfight!
- Some nice secrets!
- Cool music.
- Quake style environment.
A small note, I could detail the map so much more but I basically made this in 10 hours. Well, I learned about this thing a bit late so, I had to use whatever time I had left. I still think it's a good effort for the time it took.

Yes this is the fully fixed version. The problem was that some monsters were able to pass the teleport lines if all destinations where full, and being teleported to other places... Yeah, well, I added a couple extra lines to fix that. Now I know how that works :)

Mordeth award goes to this competition?
He probably should have planned it further ahead and screened out shit... but then again he was amazed by startan rooms and such on the stream (that one from at least a few months ago). Half of it was shovelware filler.

Yeah honestly he simply doesn't care. He played 42 maps so far out of 150 something... Yeah, at this rate even my grandchildren can't get to see who won.

ivan i think he's played like every single map except yours! Nobody of course knows how he will judge, but I say your map could take on xaser's anyday, so stay strong?

hey ivan Rayziiksenpai beat xaser for 1st, better luck next time? he did it with a map straight out of 2004 zdoom too, good job. I'd take that over 2nd rate sunlust and green tomb raider something too. That map had some DETAIL too, real architecture over the colored smoke and mirrors in 2nd and 3rd place.
joel got owned on your map too rofl. told u those skill levels would come in handy :-)
EDIT: ROFL IVAN i know why u lost. watch ur map again. joel said it himself "doom is a 3d game with 2d sprites, a 3d environment". remind u of anything? gg
