[BETA] Hell's Insanity.

Hell's Insanity is a weapon pack. Just your typical weapon pack? Well, maybe yes. But when there's someone who will add some magic wands and gauntlets to it, you know you are in a big treat.

I actually gonna plan to put some magic here cause, why the hell not?

Note: You are very welcome to help me on sprites, I'm from IRC as simply Nour. Specific channels are #zandronum and #tspg-painkiller.

Note 2: If there are some concerns about the Sickle, tell me and we can negotiate about it, or remove it if you want but just give me a good reason. :P

FYI, the rules regarding permissions are no different for "abandoned" mods. If the author says to ask permission, then you still need to do that.

Did that inside the pk3 on each code.

I'm always a fan of Weapon Mods, and well, this seems to do some Justice. However..

RIP Headphone users... My god the sounds for the guns are loud.. Even louder then the midi at full volume.

The shotgun sprites are Huge as Frick. Almost reminds me of the old weapon mods in the Skulltag Era. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I think RGA started out in the same fashion.

Other then that, said sprites that are used, is overused... Granted they have different sounds though. Nice work overall, and I hope you get more skilled in the future. Just... don't go overboard like a few other mods out there.. COUGHCOUGHLCACOUGHCOMPLEXCOUGHDOOM.. Excuse me :p

Complex Doom is fantastic. What are you talking about "going overboard"?

Honestly, OP, I think you should just use different sprites and sounds entirely. These are pretty boring and we've been seeing these same sprite sets for 10+ years. Unless you're doing something really unique with the gameplay mechanics, I can't see anyone finding this mod memorable.

opinion vs opinion, neither of which are relevant to the mod this thread is about so good job

Well, I'm sorry, headphone users. :>

Jokes aside, I do know that the sounds are loud, and I can fix them quite easily.

The sprites are a difficult task since I have little talent in drawing a good person, let alone pixel art. So maybe you can say those are placeholders until I find anyone who can help me with the sprites a bit. :S

Nice mod so far, although I assume I don't need to say the weapons are little too strong since you'll be adding monster replacements?

Meh, I'm indifferent when it comes to recycled assets, that's average for a Doom mod.

I feel like having to 100% rely on originality (in Doom modding's case) would only detriment certain modders and lower the number of mods by a fraction. But at the same time I agree, seeing certain sprites and hearing certain sounds often can be grating. But I don't let that stop me from trying to enjoy it.

Also, I dunno if this is testing version related but, I found a bug with weapons in the middle of animation when you die (it's more apparent with chaingun).

Well, it's sort of an annoying coding than bug, since I had to do that so that the sound glitch won't appear. :S

A_JumpIfHealthLower(1, "Deselect")

Put one of those at the end of the firing state, and put several throughout the "winding down" state.

The pistol sprites are my work, and Nour has my full permission to use them.

He meant of the previous Alpha v1 sprites.
