Hello after months of pretending and attempting to finish, I have finally put together a TDM compilation!!!!!!! This compilation consists of old maps, new maps, and old maps new to compilations such as this one. The list of featured wads are:
Gothic/Darkgoth
UDM3/UDMX
Skirmish1on1
Onslaught 2+3
Dbab
Greenwar
Lazarus
UptightDM
Vex-Daemon
Brit10+11
EonDM
Exec
And of course our favorite wad we could never live without, DWANGO!!
This version consists of 47 masterful dwango 5/5 maps of the highest quality. Maybe sometime next year I can begin version 2 and add a few more wads/maps that I wanted to add but I figured this would be a good sizable release to start off with. There is also a new start map that's not awful, is organized, and is FINISHED! Thanks to Argentum for improving the start map I created and Combinebob for various other helpful support during the struggle to finish. On bestever there is a config named rangletdm.cfg specifically made for this just to make life easier when hosting this, mostly everything is done for you on it. Mostly 2v2 - 3v3 compatible maps but there are larger maps for more players present.

I would have to agree. Giving more than 1 map slot to gothicdm is far too generous. I was about to suggest something from gothic2, but I remembered all the gothic2 maps in TDMax are awful and barely fit 2 players let alone 3 or 4. GW probably deserves another mapslot even if most of the remaining candidates look the same both visually and structurally (7,9, 13, 14, 23). Just don't including anything from gw2.
Other than that, neat hub. Hopefully ir works out better than hubs of the past.

Cool lobby, and on top of that you put the music I was looking for.

Too bad TDM is seldom played anymore.
Hopefully having all these maps in one place will revitalize TDM

Hoping that this pack will revitalize TDM especially with more recent maps having a presence in this pack unlike other TDM compilations.

I hardly see Brit10 help revitalize TDM.

Neat compilation some maps are great for tdm, others not so good, but if you actually actively maintain it, should turn out very well.
Looks like we both totally agree on this one, which surprises me seeing how good your maps are.

Good thing there is only 1 brit10 map out of 47 maps.
But regardless, the point does stand that TDM is a bit hard to bring back to life. Gameplay is extremely cut and dry and the fun factor pales in comparison to other team modes like CTF or TLMS. TDM in Quake is pretty fast paced and things are always happening. It makes Doom TDM look like grandpa FPS.
Still, good effort and the best way to get things played is to hosted it.

Especially since the Brit maps (1 from 10 and 1 from 11) aren't the maps from Brit that are in every other compilation so they won't be the other 50% of picks.
Indeed, TDM is going to be tough to revive, but at least some activity going on revolving about it and keeping it much fresher will help alleviate this. On the note of fast-paced gameplay, there were a couple of new fast paced maps in here from the experience I recall when we tested some new content and they were quite fun.

How about running a public TDM session once a week??

I ran a session yesterday and it lasted about 1.5hrs, not too bad but I think people don't like to sit and wait for 10 minutes even though matches ended in less. I also limited max players to 6 because anything more would be chaotic, though I somehow think they want that aha, so next one I will have the limit be 10 or something for extra chaotic maps more intense than 8v8 map14.

Don't turn on friendly fire for big pub games, it gets beyond retarded. Just host a permanent pub server with no playerlimit, ff, and hub map and call it a day.

Better hub than most TDM packs, but I feel it needs something more. You should just make a giant room for Dbab maps and be done with it :)

This wad is now hosted on funcrusher, both pub and priv. Both pub and priv are played as well too!!!
