Hello Zandronum, I started to get back into mapping again now that I have a bit of spare time on my hands. For the past few months I've been working on mianodm, which is a 10 level (6 new maps and 4 modified old maps) Doom 2 FFA WAD cross compatible with Zandronum, ZDaemon, and Odamex.

Feedback would be appreciated

we didn't need screenshots of ALL the levels, now that I've seen all the maps I think I have no incentive to try it out.

Odamex server: Westside Connection === OS-FFA-Classic DMstuff Rotation 74.207.250.98:10655 (The current WAD in that server is ZDM_3.wad which is the default starting WAD out of the list. Mr. Crispy will change it back to the official mianodm.wad)

I appreciate the feedback (And for the record I'm not offended by negative feedback). So far I've received mostly positive reviews from people on Doomworld and from the playtesters on the Odamex Westside Connection testing server. I notice that users from the Zandronum forums tend have different expectations/standards of new DM maps. My standards lean towards OS mapping and to that particular group of DM enthusiasts.

Titlepic, Interpic, or anything of that caliber do not count towards screenshots. Also, doombuilder shots barely tell us anything really, so they don't count as well. That's like saying "Ok I'm an architect and I made a nice awesome building that can rotate and it towers Eiffel Tower in height but, instead of showing it to you I'll just show the blueprints, here you go and gaze in awe to the mighty lines and vertices..."

Maps 1, 4 and 9 are definitely my favorites of the bunch. I would have liked more time to playtesy these for 1v1 matches, but 4 man FFAs were a lot of fun.

The maps use the stock textures. They're used well, coherent, clean etc. - but to be honest, I'm also getting a little tired of them.. That's why ZDM 15 is going to be using a texture pack in addition to the nilla stuff

I really like these in FFA. Some point down the road might be worth retooling (especially retexturing) them into something that really has it's own character and stands out. I've also had considerations for a while now for doing this with a lot of my old shit

This is your first standalone release and with that said you've done an excellent job man. Your ability to map out good DM turf is pretty damn impressive for just 2 years of on and off modding.
