All textures for Doom, Doom2, Plutonia, TNT.
I have created and modified over 750 textures.
Many textures have been matched to each other, in one style, palette and size.
Brightmaps and Liquidpatch (for AltDHTP).

Yes, as I said, textures have been matched to each other, in one style, palette and size.
But this not a problem anyway, need to redo the 2 textures (Sw1mod1, Sw2mod1).
I can fix it for for 5-10 minutes. :smile:

What are the licences for your textures you created?

Which textures did you create? which did you modify?

you should also keep the credits list of who did what.

Copyright / Permissions:
You MAY use/edit all Textures and Flats for any use you see fit.

To do description for each texture too hard, as it had not been descriptions of all the textures that I used.
To prepare such a list would have to compare each texture and all textures and packs which I know of .
If you have questions on specific textures, you can ask.

But how do I know what you have created so i can put it in, i can't put it into the dhtp if i don't know who did it.

You also need to keep the credits of each author of the textures from the dhtp you used, as they each have different permissions.

It seems this is a problem only for the creators of textures and packs.
But separate textures can cause a problem like in post 2, it is preferable to use the whole pack.
For textures that you want to use, write me an email, will solve anything.

That screenshot was taken using DHTP. In my latest map, I use a lot of RROCK09 with TANROCK4 together. They are supposed to look identical, but in DHTP, they are completely different colors and look nothing alike. RROCK09 becomes dark gray instead of dark tan. All the textures in DHTP look great separately, but they don't always work well together. One more thing: a lot of DHTP's shiny textures use Doomsday's fancy features to look shiny, but they just look too dark in Zandronum.

Kurikai, I respect and am grateful for all the effort that you and others have put into DHTP. This criticism is intended to be constructive and helpful, not just whiny and hateful.

All the plutonia and Tnt textures

Yes, it is tough with the credits per textures, But what you see in the DHTP is me keeping track of it.

You had a great place to start. basically you are ruining the work of others, which will make it confusing for in the future.

Thanks for the feedback, I never actually noticed the difference in those two textures. Fixed, you can grab from github now if you want it quick

AltDHTP designed primarily for regular users who can't or do not know how to create textures.
Others can do without it or to specify only the name of the pack and a full list of credits.txt
I am really don't care about who, how and where will use the results of my work. :smile:

The main problem is that you want to add some of these textures in your pack.
I do not advise you to do this for two reasons:
1 there will be problems with compatibility of textures.
2 for identification of all textures can take a very long time.

Alternatively, I can help with the creation of new textures.

One thing I do wonder is why older textures that in my opinion looked better were replaced. Newer ones look really flat.
Though, I've collected and hand picked the best textures from various DHTP versions to get the best result.

Good Examples would be bigdoor, starbr, starg, stargr and startan from 2003-2008. However they are also only 4x the original resolution, not 8x.


Also, I'm having trouble finding the 2003 versions and wonder if anyone could provide a working link for those.

they were less consistent, they didn't look even close to the original doom textures.

So I decided to take the pack in a certain direction, which is to document who does what(take a look at the credits from before i took over), which is to make it look faithful to the original, and open it up in respects to being able to use the textures in other things. The current pack also has the most consistency it has ever had
