Greetings.
Yesterday it just came to my mind to build this map in Zandronum. I don't know why, but i've never seen this done before, so i started. Please note that it's not all the same, but most of it is.
It's compatible with software renderer, and since i didn't use any new resources (besides the music) it's Doom-Paletted. Also it's "doomified" a bit, cause i didn't really want to make the map all the same.
I used GtkRadiant to measure some things from the original map.
Build time: about 12 hrs

Honestly, it could use some more wall texture variation.
As it is, it looks very faithful to Q3, and yet still fairly bland.

Yep i know it's a bit too faithful, it certainly needs more detail in Doom. The fact is that in Q3 it looks cooler due to the engine. I thought about adding to this later, just wanted to finish the base.

I think 0.5 air control feels a little annoying in Doom.
Good job with that layout, BTW.
Why is finding the user CP so hard?

Wow, amazing.
But something is kinda off... I feel very tinny as a player compared to some areas in the actual game

I don't see it being so huge, if that's what you mean.

It's size is fine, it gets the architeture of Campgrounds with the feeling of Doom instead of Quake 3, nice mix dude.

Thanks! Actually, that was the goal of it.

Hello fractalxx.
So, good try on that remake for doom, it resembles it, but there are still things to fix.
And you're actually not the first one to make Campgrounds for Doom, Collision already made his version of it. I really think you should check it.

I'm not familiar with the actual Q3 map, but this looks pretty damn fun :)

Actually, I didn't state that I was the first to make it, just haven't seen this before.
I like his version actually, it is more faithful, looks better in every way, and as he used Q3 textures, it's more accurate.
I also thought about using them, but didn't really want to make it all the same, and tinker with extra textures.
