Is there hopes for a color scheme based on the Skulltag general colors as well ad Zandronums?

Probably not at this point now..I've been chatting with Konar and to be fair 102 colours is enough- not really many more things I can add at this point.. >:

inb4 TTA calls that a feature

But yeah, most of the bright-border and multicolored ones are just unreadable in smallfont, it looks like.

Especially with some mods' custom fonts like Hard Doom, Super Skulltag, and ZBlood. :/


I don't think there's anything that can be done about that, though, aside from not using those colors when playing those mods.

To be fair, most if not all custom fonts are awful. Everyone should be using doomguy font, it's the clearest and easiest to read.

fonts with skinny letters are always hard as hell to read in any color. fonts with big letters are always preferred

Some are "Gimmick" colours- that are not really....as suitable for smaller fonts~
As for custom fonts? Some do actually work- the HD Doom one going about even works with the border colours too!

If you have your text at the smallest possible resolution and you can't read some of them- that isn't really something anyone can fix- set your text to a higher res and you'll be fine...2/3x for example!

Not to mention many look a whole lot better as the Bigfont- you're given the colours so if you use them irresponsibly then it's your funeral! :D

the only complaint i have is the brackets in each code, they take up space in the whole name so using multiple colors is nearly impossible with the current way it's implemented. taking out the brackets you could do \cg5 \cm0 etc. the brackets add two extra characters in the whole name.

Too bad you kinda can't skip those bracelets, because then zanzan will read them as color code + letter in that color code, so doing things like \cg5 will result in red 5 and nothing more.

or what about make "\c[xx]" dont count as name? i guess is impossible but it would be pretty good for long names and with multiple colors

Just wish the engine didn't read colour codes...as text...so to speak...At least in names~
I am very very tempted to make some more colours and give another release sometime in the near future.. not sure when that would be but I have made about half dozen or so... :D

I will also fix up a little contrast too on a few- make them stand out a little better- nothing drastic just..subtle

What I haven't changed though on the main post are some of the slight changes to some of the older colours, mainly the neon ones and some of the much lighter shades...some where having trouble seeing a few so I've fixed up the contrast on a few!

I didn't expect another update for awhile longer, but again it happened. Liking these additions to the colours, keep it up. Also I bet it might take a bit for Best Ever to update the automatically loaded colours .pk3, just guessing since it was like the middle of the night here on the east coast.
