This is not the 1st I see this project, and I think it's time for me to test it, it looks nice.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes chapter 1 is the only one complete as of now, with the exception of a few other maps done for chapters 2 and 3. Which of course aren't in any particular order until more maps are made.

You should fix monster balance, because ghost cacodemons, zombie cacos and some bosses are imbalanced in melee attacks, they kills in oneshit.

Why cutscenes are singleplayer only?

The zombie cacos are very slow for the amount of attack they do and usually very easy to dodge, but I will lower it a little, I think the ghost cacodemon that shoot the yellow fire homing balls are still a little strong ( they have been lowered in the latest version I am working on ).Some bosses can go apeshit on you especially cacaroo, but they shouldn't be too difficult but I'll look into it aswell.

The cutscenes are a must for single player only, which I discussed with popsoap already about doing.

Edit:

Started on another map "Caco Carnival". Aswell as fixed most of everything talked about above.

I did watch the trailer and saw there at 2:23 "become the demon yourself" and then the video did look like the player did play as a Cacodemon. Is it possible to play the Caco invasion also as a Caco? and HOW? That would be amazing...Thanx for any useful reply.

Yes you can become a cacodemon, as of right now there is only a few you can become. Power ups on each map will allow you to morph into a cacodemon for the rest of the level or whenever you wish to cancel and turn back into a human. So far you can become a baby cacodemon, regular cacodemon, fire cacodemon, cacolich, and zombie caco. Upcoming is snow cacodemon and possibly a giant cacodemon in the future.

A new version will be out soon, with a few more maps complete.

+Gaguuros code is complete, but hes not in any levels yet.
+New Fire type cacodemons added to the lava levels.
+New sentry gun, Shoots poison projectiles.
+New cacodemon Morph powerup, you can now morph into a snow cacodemon.
+The Defiler zombie cacodemon now fires Bloodshots instead of poison balls.
+A bunch of minor bug fixes and texture errors.
+Replaced fire sound with quake 1's, sound wasn't looping right.
+changed overall order of the maps (New order Map## = 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,7a,8,8a,9,9a,10,11,12,13,15,19,21,22,23,24,25).

Here is the latest version once again:

https://www.mediafire.com/?6303vftuaff70h1

changes:

+2 cutscenes are now single player only (map10 and 45).
+Map22, changed song, made more improvements and details to the map to more resemble the original caco invasion map on zdaemon.
+Map21, added the city in the distance and more minor details.
+added "the contaminated" to maps 21,22.
+New map, Map45 (2nd Final Boss Map).
+New map, Map20 (Dead End).
+New boss, Alpha Walker, has 3 forms.
+Heavy Rifle regular fire shoots a little faster.
+New Monsters, Acid Deficating cacodemon and cacotron
+added Gaguuro to map 20.
+75% of the cacos will now wander if unprovoked
+For testing purposes and not really a added to any maps, You can summon a "coopPartner" to assist you in battle,
Basically a Doom guy with the same weapons you have but more Eratic. Created him mainly to help test a few things on the 2nd final boss.

Should have a new version in the next month or so with 2,3 more maps. Going to concentrate on finishing chapter 2 before summer.

Something seems to be wrong with Mediafire. I tried to download this, and it said that the download would take over 2 days.

Thank you. A one-minute download is much better than two days.

Why not just use [bad site] to upload your wad files? I see someone already uploaded the file there on the 29th of Jan. That way if it's on there it can automatically be downloaded by game browsers before a player joins a server.

Thank you aiur!.

Here is version 7.1:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/qhos5smb4ht8e ... A.pk3?dl=0

+Spooky cacodemon boss will attack alot more frequently.
+Alpha Walker 3rd form fire actually deals damage now.
+Chaingun and Nailgun altfires are switched around.
+Pistol altfire shoots faster.
+Increased speed on Flamethrower alt
+Increased speed on plasma gun
+Added fire armored Cacodemon
+Added rotting cacodemon
+added ZombieLich
+Grenade Launcher shoots faster and main fire shoots farther
+Shotgun deals more damage.
+Tundra lich can no longer be blasted by disc of repulsion.
+Lowered the weather effects on map20, Caused massive FPS drops before.

This version mainly fixes minor bugs and improvements to the weapons.
Popsoap also did alot of the translations and bug finding.
Should have a new map up soon, working on this alongside bossbattles so maps get pushed back somewhat.

Here is a New version that is compatible with zandronum 2.0

No real changes, just fixing the bugs that broke it in zandronum 2.0.

This is something i like, even though the hordes of cacodemons could be annoying at some time, lacking foot demons. Like in bossbattles there is a problem with the spamming of same-colour textures, which could fool the player and strain the eyes. Dark ambients or textures i think are to be avoided as they really strain the eyes of the players.

Thanks for the feedback, I can't really solve the problem you are having with the textures without changing everything. Most of the textures used are from skulltag, doom, and hexen. I will experiment with some different textures but I can't promise you will see too much of a difference.
