I would love to have my Beavis and Butthead skins made from the SNES game included in this. Although I made them a few years back, they could use a good home. I souped them up specifically for Zanny use, having more soundbites than they could possibly ever need:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/mmn51 ... avbutt.wad

In use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZacnzZYq-Y

I really like this idea, glad to see skins getting some attention!

[Offtopic crap below]
I don't know if this is really needed, but that old "skins.wad" that infests Zdaemon servers has been souped up beyond belief too with "Newskins.wad", some players may be interested in it. The main thing is it takes out all the trash or fixes it up quite a lot, nothing in there is crap quality. It also uses a few skins I threw together: http://www.mediafire.com/download/k9cib ... wSkins.zip

Holy crap, best Mario/Luigi skins I've seen yet. The HUD face you have is great too, but I made another one for Mario where I got pretty gratuitous with the blood while try to stay semi detailed: http://www.mediafire.com/download/2jq3k ... ri_HUD.wad

I don't think I'll have another opportunity to post this anyway, so there it is. If you want to use it at all please feel free. :p

It does look better

Edit: (Joking aside :P) I was also thinking of something more cyborg-looking

Me too. Maybe something closer to an Xtacle from Frisky Dingo?

I think if the rest of the body was scaled up and ever so slightly blurred, that it would make a great 'high definition' skin.

Upscaling + shitty blur filters high definition.

Ewww, pseudo-HD skin. No thanks.

Scaling the head down would be much better. Not to mention drawing the head for each rotation would be much easier.

EDIT:
Okay, the Barry Burton skin is pretty much done. Just checking frames for consistency now (probably all sorts of leftover pixels from Base Doomguy), then I'll add the taunts (although they're more like buffoonish soundbites) and post the result. Here's what it generally looks like so far:

I wasn't at any point about to try and scribble S.T.A.R.S. on his back though. Fuck that, way too much trouble for something that would look like total shit anyway.

I agree, but I just don't think there's any way to get the Zandro helmet looking half decent when it's scaled down so small. There may be another way to do this, but I think it will look far too blurry and indistinguishable if shrunken so much.
Echo wrote: Ewww, pseudo-HD skin. No thanks.
Plenty of "Hi Def" (using this term very loosely, by the way) skins look great. There's the scout and engineer from TF2 in skin form somewhere around, they're hi res and look great in game.

Looks pretty good, except the cracks and stuff aren't visible, and the "eyes" aren't as distinct.

In my opinion, they don't have to be. It doesn't look like the logo wasn't exactly made to be an actual helmet more than an alienware-esque "badge" of sorts, so some artistic license is to be expected (especially when needing to work a flat icon into a complete 3d shape to do rotations).

On another note, the shoulders and boots could have more contrast and given more sheen to match the helm.

Yeah I see where you're coming from ... It would be a real bitch to try and make rotations for a 2D icon, although I'm sure it's possible with enough effort. (I was thinking a shape along the lines of a paintball helmet.)

Cool! Looks pretty badass.

Can't wait for it to be finished. As soon as it is, I'll add it. Same goes for Echo's "variant" marine and his Barry skin as well.

I'm glad/surprised by how nicely it turned out, looking forward to seeing the remaining rotations, and the shoulder pads having some sheen would add a lot to it as well.

I dont think that fit in doom guy skin, need something like a robot, or make the skins parts metalic or something else

Well, I can do all the rotations, as long as they are without the forward-facing head!

In other words, if someone can come up with decent angles for the Zandronum 'helmet', then I don't mind pissing around and dishing out headless pieces to attach them to. It'll be like a collaborative effort with elements of Frankenstein.
