Perhaps the John Romero skin would look better with a comically huge head? When it's so small, his face becomes a mess.

the smaller head makes it look like a legitimate skin that came with the game, i really like it

i only have two skins here but i'll be adding more later, if you want you can add these though

Cool! I'll add the Earl one, but probably not the JoJo one (sorry, good work ripping it though!). I'd like to stay away from model rips, if possible. But if you really really want it in the pack then I wouldn't mind tossing it in.

Nah, that same head will be shrinked to fit its body size,
and smoothed where needed.

Oh no.

I've seen these before, and they generally look like shit. Taz goes from an alright shading job with his A1 frame, to crap flat colour throughout the rest, with identical frames for each angle during his walk animation, and then has a bunch of empties lumped in with Death/Gib frames. Daffy is nothing but flat colours with recycled Death frames for his Gib. I know they're both cartoon characters, but compare the hundreds of frames per any cartoon episode to the mere number for each here. It's just lazy and is made of fail.

Even though I'm sure Aenima knows what to add and what not to add, I'd just like to say... please don't add lots of non-doomy sprites. It just makes it a bad skin pack.

That's what I meant when I said that RBCskins was full of fail. 2D drawings (Voltanians...), UT skin model rips, the Roadrunner (?), and tons of useless skins that nobody used (pirate, marine with SS2 hybrid sounds, raven mech).

My goal here is to put together a collab of useful skins mostly made by members of the Zandronum community themselves, not just yanked from ZDaemon (with the exception of 1337Marine).

I, for the most part, am only the coordinator and compiler. I'll let the community decide what skins should go in. However, as Ivan pointed out, I'll act as a quality filter if need be.

So anyways doomkid, I probably won't add any cartoon skins.


... Except maybe Girg Jetsand.

I am eagerly looking forward to this pack, but to make it useful for coop, please don't include any monsters from any Doom-engine games, which would cause players to shoot each other in confusion.

That's totally fine :biggrin: I see now, it's more like an "unofficial" sequel to the Skulltag skins idea, things that are (mostly) Doom themed.

lawl, glad you like my MS paint skills. Aside from re-doing it in a higher definiton, I couldn't think of a better way to do it with so few pixels, but I'm sure someone out there could get it right like with Taz's front angle. It would probably be worth my time to get his and Daffy's shading right on all of their frames, since their proportions are at least right unlike with Stewie.
