Shitty attempt at leather. If you've ever played RTCW you'll know what I was trying to do.Cruduxy wrote: -skirt seems a bit weird-
Very much this. 3 years ago I was making shitty recolours. Now, many of the new sprites in my current project were made by me. Remember, there are many sprites out there that you can use as a template for whatever it is that you want to make. None of my sprites are completely drawn from scratch. There are people in the Doom community who can do that, like Eriance and Vader, but I'm not one of them. I got to this standard through drawing over other sprites and not being afraid to use copy/paste when needed. As freaky as this may sound (or not, depending on your views), that little lady in the purple lab coat to the left of this post was once the Doomguy. Someone used the Doomguy sprites to create Illucia, then I used Illucia to create her (and a few zombie variants in the process).Cruduxy wrote: Practice makes perfect

Main thing is, take your time. No one makes Eriance-level stuff on their first go. I still can't.
Same here. It's all lazy cut n' shut when I make anything:agaures wrote: I don't always make sprites from scratch... but when i do, they look like shit.
