There is no true depth due to the very inconsistent shading thanks to the excess frankenspriting. The things in the back are just as bright (actually, brighter due to everything being electric blue except the horny bits) as the things in the front.

The horns all look slapped on with nothing to hold them in place. Details like that are very important in a quite resolution-restricted environment like this, since there's no room for anything but suggestions of how things should look like.

The wings are incredibly bright and banded (very clearly lacking in brightness variation thanks to palette butchery) and it is also a big part of the previously mentioned shading inconsistency.

I mean you can go along with it but there are very big flaws to your method of doing things.

as for myself then i've been doing some shit for some openxcom mod

p.s: i am not very nice when about to pass out in my bed but there you go

The images on the first post was when i was using the awful imageshack to host my images (which recently got even worse). I'm actually surprised they lasted there for that long.
As far as finishing them goes, they are some of my oldest concepts and poorly edited so it wouldn't meet up to my standard today to attempt them.
Concepts alone though... i'll see what i can do.

You might have gotten better with your technique but that doesn't mean your ideas then weren't good. By the way, do you have a compilation of stuff you've made more recently?

I really haven't done a whole lot recently in terms of spriting as I'm not that good at it/find it too hard.
The only other recent thing besides the skull keys has been my attempt at finishing the 'Soul Demon' concept from the haunt beastiary: http://haunt.8m.com/beastiary/undead.html

Wasn't too satisfied with an earlier rendition I did based on the NitroGolem's attack, so I drew a new one from scratch.

I highly doubt you haven't. If you've played nearly any Zandronum mod online it almost definitely has the work of Eriance in it.
