Star Wars Battle - V10A - Team Based MOD - Domination Update

About

The aim of this project is just make a fun mod for the fans of DooM and Star Wars.

Its a team based mod suited for Domination, TLMS, Possession, CTF and in the future map specific objetives.

Current Features

- 5 Player class
- New Weapons
- 3 Maps in final stages of development

Playing / Hosting

This wad can be played in many competitive modes, but at this moment work better as TeamLMS, LMS and FFA. You can try CTF too.

The mod is made to be played in OpenGL!

If you will host this mod, you MUST use the server variable sv_useteamstartsindm.

At this moment there is:

MAP01 - Duel of the fates - 90%
MAP02 - Kamino - 90%
MAP03 - Star Destroyer - 80%

Two Teams - Rebels and Empire
Five classes - Jedi, Sith, Rebel Soldier, Empire Soldier and Stormtrooper.

As Jedi and Sith, you start with a item, its your "force push".

All the classes and maps are still in the works, and more will come if ppl help in this project.

MAP01 - DooMAGE - Based on DOTF map by MovieBattle2.
(MLW)JDTM for the original Stormtrooper wad.
LightSaber by Klofkac
3D model riped by Enjay

Changelog
- Removed the 90's style maps, based on the original stardoom.wad
- Add MAP02 "Kamino"
- lowered speed of the soldiers
- Add force push for jedis / siths
- Rain in Kamino, the decorate now have +CLIENTSIDEONLY, I hope this fixes lag related issues in that map.

- Less sniper spots on MAP02 Kamino
- Added MAP03 Star Destroyer

- Added Domination gamemode to all MAPS.
- Removed Force Push until I figure out, how to players not push teammates.
- Nerfed a little bit the stormtrooper's sniper.

At this point I need some help with the classes/weapons, they need custom rebel sprites for example, im looking for it.
I want some ARC soldiers in there too :)
And if you wanna map for the project let me know.

The only thing I miss on it is maybe the rooms are too clean (no objects/details) they´re just rooms with some slopes and dynamic lights.
But for me its only the problem on picture 1 and 2...

I´m criticizing first because I really liked the mod/prints, so I wanna help doing some sugestions that may do the map perfect :D

and please don´t abandon this project, it really looks cool *__*

Im getting a MyBB error when I try to update the first post. (53100 - ERROR: could not extend relation base/17632/26831: No space left on device HINT: Check free disk space.)

Sorry for the double post, but Im getting a MySQL / MyBB error when I try to update my previous post.

I dont know why, but 3d sloped floors dont show in software, so I really recommend play this MOD in OpenGL.

I feel that the stormtrooper's sniper is ridiculously strong. I suggest maybe reduced accuracy/increase spread when not zoomed in to nerf it a bit.

Map03 is still Doom II. I play using Software, but there's nothing I can really do about that. :P

Fun project, but having a stormtrooper class for the rebels makes me mistake the enemy for an ally and gets me killed. I know you're still trying to make classes, but you shouldn't really have a class like that considering the problems it can cause.

I don't normally post on this part of the forum but these screenshots look real good.

I'd love to play a coop/survival type wad with this theme, although i doubt anyone would be bothered to make such a thing... keep up the good work anyway

It´s a cool mod I played it online and I love it, but I only have two types.
1)Jedi sucks for me( 200 ping + melee weapon = sucks/no kills)
2)Some maps are sniper maps D:

I really want to see some extra stuff like an invasion with robots and all other things :D (it could be on the same maps)

i suggest that an expansion of jedi(force-/lightsaber-)fights shall be included in the next update ;))
maybe more controllable laser-reflection? visible lightsabers for more real lightsaber fights, etc? please

Thanks for all the players and you guys for posting here your feedback.
That way I can make the mod better.

I did some tests with all current maps in Domination gamemode, and it was super fun :)

So Im releasing this new version with Domination!

I hope you guys like ;)
