The Refinery

After a development time of almost two years, it is finally done.
The Refinery has reopened, relive the classic experience, the fast-paced action with a essence of Doom 3's creepy experience - the best of both sides. So what is it?
A reinterpretation or remake of Doom's original E1M3, heavily inspired by KDiZD. The whole map has been enlarged, restructured, new areas have been added, old ones enhanced and the whole thing has been turned into something more real and creepy. Expect something totally different in a place that you already know to a very good extend.
Download the pk3 right now, get your doom.wad warmed up (not Doom 2 compatible) and start off your GZDoom for a experience that pushes the GZDoom engine to its limits!
Please read the text file for further credits, information and stuff that needs to be read! By the way, playing it twice in a row reveals some secrets and differences for those who love more action and harder difficuly, you will also get a reward for playing it twice ;)

Um looks cool, but these are the Zandronum forums. :)
Is a Zandronum release on the way?

You'd better write in bold red bigfont text somewhere that this doesn't really work with zandronum. Because someone will fail to notice.
That being said, someone will fail to notice regardless, but at least not everyone this way.

Notice it's in off-topic forum, not in releases forum. I don't see any problem advertising it here.

Thread moved to projects. If you people took the time to read the rules instead of backseat mod you would see that the projects section is for Doom projects. Any future posts of this nature will receive a warning from now on; not limited to this thread.

What is actually the problem with Zandronum? I thought it was up to par with GZDoom 1.6.0?

Script error, "therefinery.pk3:actors/sfx/lightandfire.txt" line 125:
Invalid state parameter a_setscale
Well that's the problem.

That' s a shame, I thought all the new GZDoom features are already incorporated. But I am sure Torr will take care of that quite soon.

Good job. Haven't beaten it for 2nd time yet, but I found out you can skip certain parts of the level by jumping (you can get chaingun earlier by jumping over the fence, you can deactivate the exit forcefield without going through the whole blue key area). Was it intended to play with jumping?

WELL I HOPE YOUR DEFINITION OF 'SOON' IS 'WITHIN A FEW YEARS'.

All? AAAHAhaHAhah..
Zandronum's at, what.. 2.3? 2.4?
Last I checked, current GZDooM is 2.7 something.
A codebase update is slated for next release, but still. Afaik we're a far way from 'all the new' features.

I wasn't gonna post but when I read this, I lol'd a bit. I somewhat doubt it will be that long. Zandronum has come along way since 98e, so I can imagine a kept up Zandronum that will match Gzdoom, and be fully compatible.
