For Project Ideas: A DM-based game mode.
The way it works is that everyone starts with all the weapons.
Whenever you kill someone, the weapon that you got the kill with is taken away.
The winner is the person who gets rid of all of his weapons.

Sounds like a wad that punishes more skilled people for actually winning.. So when you have fist left your enemy can waste all his weapons killing you and pretending its an epic come back?

It's a game where almost inevitably will be a very close match; Because eventually you'll be down to fists, and fisting someone wielding weapons is...less the viable.

It sounds unfair to the better player.. Equally skilled players in any fair conditions will have a very close match.. In this once you have the less useful weapons anyone will be able to catch up and maybe even beat you with fists with some luck.

Okay guys, I honestly have no clue where on the forums I can ask this question but since it's an idea I guess I chose here, so:

-Is it legal to make a game using Zandronum and you know, selling it? Like download, retail, Steam, and that sort of thing?
I ask because I'd like to make something, and of course all content would be new, free of copyright.

Anyway I am aware about Unity, UDK, you name it, but damn I love Zandy and it's very user-friendly DoomBuilder buddy for mapping. Well that, and, I'm not a programmer lol

So it wouldn't look like Doom or Heretic/hexen/strife or anything, either, the only similarity I guess would be that it's deathmatch/online-whatever.

No, probably not, considering all of the free open-source licenses that went into making it.

Yeah, and selling just the WAD wouldn't work out well, eventually it gets put up for free and everyone gets it and there goes your hard work :lol:

Just watched 10th episode of Psycho-Pass, and it gave me an idea of a huge maze with lots of 3d floors, traps, keys, stairs and sectors with diffrent heights and maybe some random ACS events. Holy shit it would be so cool.

i just had an idea...how about a mario\doom crossover where all the characters have different abilitys from each other i.e: luigi can jump higher.toad can run fast but can't jump for shit. mario is well rounded. yoshi can flutter jump.etc and the levels have multiable paths that certain characters can't reach. and also when playing in multiplayer it is possible for mario\luigi\toad to ride on yoshi and reach certain areas that only yoshi can get to in sp and while yoshi has someone rideing him he can old throw eggs but can't use guns exept when he doesn't have anyone rideing him.
and the levels start out with a mario-ey feel but as the game progresses they start to feel more like doom levels

We should make something to replace brutal doom and then get rid of brutal doom like nothing happened.
