Hmmmmmmm, i wonder if anyone has tried to make a WAD based on School Shootings.

Hey wait i have an idea for a Project, It will be based on every known School Shootings (Columbine, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook, etc), Modes like Last Stand (Where the shooters did not commit suicide, but instead fight the police till they die, Like MW3's Survival mode), Story (Main Plot), Killing Frenzy (Kill as much students as you can till time runs out, Killing someone adds more time), and also it will have 3D Models (Decorations, Cars, Furniture, Props, and possibly even everything will be 3D models), Singleplayer Mode, COOP Mode (Eric, Harry, Cho Seung-Hui, And Adam Lanza on the same time performing massacres, along with other Skins). And about the Ammo, Weapons and shit, it will not just be Weapons that were used on these shootings, there would be more Guns that can be picked up from Guards, The Police and the SWAT.

And also about the Plot, it ain't gonna be that accurate like the real one to make it fun since it is a Game, The Police and SWAT will enter the school, Helicopters, Guards that protect the school and shit to make it fun, like the more People you kill the more it affects the story (This is possible through ACS Scripting, Action DOOM 2: Urban Brawl had multiple endings and every action you do affects the plot), there would be Three Chapters (Not just One level each, since Schools are damn big and it would cause Lag, so it should be separated) The Columbine High School, Virginia Tech, And Sandy Hook. So does anyone like my idea?

Yeah but according to the reviews it sucks, My idea needs to be detailed, using modern Zandronum features like 3D Floors, Sloped Floors and Stuff, so in Technical terms i aint late :razz:

Yea I do not recommend anyone making a wad about school shootings. May have unwanted/unforeseen consequences.

Well did you know that there was a Mod for Half Life 2 called North American School Shooter Tour 2012 on ModDB and almost nobody gave a damn about it (Except for the anti-video game faggot named Jack Thompson)

That's a really weird and absurd idea. But if you're bold to do that, you better just pick "Columbine" since it's somehow related to doom.

Well, I am from Denmark, if I took the blame from the wad, then nothing would happen I suppose, as noone in Denmark would give a flying pengiun about it :Razz:

But on a more serious thought: Do you seriously think that people would like to play Columbine? If you make it, then dont take real life events, as it will make media go crazy :S
Those "Professionals" said that beacuse that columbineguy was a schoolshooter was because he played doom, and if there comes a Columbine wad, then lets see what that makes us, eh?

My project idea is a multiplayer-themed wad for Strife. There would be teams for The Front and The Order, and they would not only fight in Deathmatch- style areas, but also in objective combat using TeamGame, like food raids or prison breaks. There would be NPCs that help The Front and The Order, 5 player classes to fight with, and special abilities for those classes, like faking death for the "Stealth" class. I have the resources, I know code, but the only reason I can't is this:
I can't map for crap.
And that pretty much ruins everything.

Maybe I could make some maps for you, I too want to see strife being attractive for multiplayer.
I like the idea of the gametypes you have listed, the only concern I got is the playerclass balance, and what roles both sides classes will play and how.
I suggest you find out what "gamemodes" you want to make with teamgame, and just make different targets, like this:
Raids: The Front will attack a Building of importance and fulfill a goal, but The Order is in their way. Target will be for a player to pick up an item and get to the escape point. The item will Work like a flag and be dropped on death. The Order can then take it to safety. This flag can also be manually dropped.

A thing you maybe should concider is, if it should follow a storyline or not, I suggest no storyline, as servers have a tendency of randomising the map rotation.

Oh, and yes, deaths of ponies must be extremely gruesome, and we can use decals of blood from brutal doom.

I had Assault for mid-range combat, Stealth for infiltrating, Grenadier for crowd-control (or blocking areas with fire), Shotgunner (new weapon) for indoors/cramped areas, and Medic for healing and dropping medkits.
I have no classes with the Mauler, Flamer, or Sigil (duh), the first two would be special pickups if you can find them, and the Sigil, the Front never knew about until halfway through Strife.
Say, I have mid- and long-ranges, maybe I should work on a long range class?

My idea was pretty much that, except multiple items, like say take a bunch of food barrels and bring them to a safe zone or something like that.

There is no story. This is just random events in the war between the comet hitting and Strifeguy coming along to save the day. :smile:
