WDI08 need to get rid of ladder scripts I afraid. We noticed before that it is causing fly glitch. The guy who accidently activated it today didn't know how he triggered it.
EDIT: oh wait ladder script is back on wdi03, and some guy as murd was flying again

We can't get rid of ladder scripts on wdi08. Without them , the murd holes dont work and the map turns linear.

EDIT: I guess u can use deep water hack, but it feels so er

Drowning on ladders doesn't make sense.

There is already water sectors used in the hedges. "%o couldn't swim... in a hedge."

@Dark-Assassin: Yeah, I hate using deep water to pull it off, but SkullTag seems to be having a fit with sector actions and just doesn't want to apply them properly to players. I'll see what I can do to change this.

The Entryway. I tried making a proper glass chandelier, and this came out.

I took a look at Clue FX's Tudor Mansion, and it had a blue roof. Turns out that blue can work in a dark night atmosphere.
Still have a lot of work to do, though.

By the way if you ever need help, there is Clock Tower mansion map if you need total similarity.

[EDIT] I suggest also copying the pool from the Mansion Map and replacing that current pool; it'll fill the yard a bit more, plus it looks fancy. :P

Oh yes, I'd also like to mention something to all mappers:

For the murderer doors, you no longer need to put instant-kill (Script 99) triggers behind them; just tag the door/spot directly in front of the door with the "Block Monster" flag

I've come up with a new way to keep innocents out of the murderer halls by manipulating this flag. As such, be sure that no other lines in your map have "block monster" on them, or you'll run into problems.

I'll also be adding "$category" entries to the DECORATE code very soon and I will upload the resource for mappers to use.

Add a fake floor, but don't draw it or make it swimmable. Then use a sector action for a player being below the fake floor- it'd probably need some work to make it work properly, but you could give it a shot.

I was actually thinking of just placing some extra "Actor Enters Sector" things in adjacent sectors that disable the flying property.

It will just have it's city's name and a bit of plot, but very different scene and time.

On a related note, as a result of Sicamore reminding me, I came across this. The first version of WDI03. I totally forgot how freaking big and dark it was! :biggrin: Now I really want parts of the old version to go into the current one, and for the outside light level to be lowered by 8 (the old one is 24 units darker).
Also, it's kinda funny how the map got complaints for being so big, and now we have maps like WDI05/WDI06 (partially as a result of the playerbase being larger than it was 2 years ago, but w/e).
