Nah, i have already experimented some with variables like this.
Unfortunnally nobody ever saw nor used the 3 number accescode
in Zero Invasion. (0:55 - 1:12) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6PDCPUw ... Q&index=58
THAT was one of the little things that i found easy to make.
11 computers on some office floor, that can be searched for
a code, and THAT code is different each time you start-up the
said map.
And with that same hack device you could open up doors if you didnt have
Doom-keys.

But NO, this mod idea is far from difficult to make.
Or at least, its not difficult for me to make
I was just wondering if there is interest in playing such a mod.
And Yes, its kinda a survival thing, but there is also things to do.
Little things like screwing around a tv set, tuning different radio channels, if there is a radio signal??.
Caring or farming some vegetation, to be able to eat from time to time, but ofcourse you would go for the easy food system and search for foodvendings, which you will need coins etcetra etcetra...
AND every base has its purpose, like, you have a mission to do.
Think about situations, that you have to receive a radio signal, and to transmit it forward.
Or at certain time you have to teleport a box full of unknown stuff away.
And if you dont have power, well, you might have a big problem not being able to teleport this box.
As i said, the main character is very bored by having this job, and when he was recruited, he was hoping to see lots of actions...
but no... he got hired to this boring StationPatrol job....

I was recently looking over my doom folder and found this 2 year-old logo

Back then after Wormsdoom came out I realised it's possible to make anything if you're good coder.
So I wanted to make turn-based tactics collectible card multiplayer mod..phew.
You could choose any of these Zdoom-related classes: doom, hexen, heretic, d64 to play as.
Basically it would be a copy of Metal Gear Ac!d game, and luck would decise a lot.
In short, what happens when it's your turn:
You insta got 6 cards. For example: <Action+> ; <Critical Shot>; <D64 Unmaker>; <Card LV.1>; <Green Armor>; <Crystal Vial>.
So you can use 2 cards per turn. You can use these cards either to MOVE or to USE them on their purposes. Certain cards would have a function EQUIP. There would be 2 slots which can be equipped. So
<Action+> would give you a chance to use 3 cards per turn.
<Critical Shot> is a EQUIP-type card. While it is equipped your accuracy would be better.
<D64 Unmaker> is a weapon card. Use it on your enemies. As far you are from them, as worser will be your shot.
<Card LV.2> is a USE-type card. When you're on a block near bonus room, you can use it on a door.
<Green Armor> is a EQUIP-type card. While it's equipped. Your damage will be lower.
<Crystal Vial> is a usE-type card. Use it to restore your health by 10%.
After your turn is made you'll be given 2 cards again.
It would be a limited-move mod. Player can walk only by MOVE function of card.(via ACS ofcourse).

From what I see, this is not really a collectible cards game, since you do not collect cards per se, but just receive a random set. Though a true CCG would be impossible since there is no way to track collected cards per player after he leaves the server(at least no reliable way, and gross hacks tend to fail). But yeah, if random cards, it's actually quite doable. At least sounds easier than wormsdoom.

More detailed weapons would be fantastic.
For example, instead of JUST the barrels showing up on the HUD for the Chaingun, he'd be holding the Chaingun in his left hand (cuz he punches with his left, and have it be on the left side of the screen) but have a chain of bullets in his right hand that move as he fires.
What I would like is basically have a wad or whatever (pk3 I'm assuming) that change the way the guns look so they're more... well, detailed.
The plasma rifle would have a lovely je ne sais quoi, perhaps a change of battery every time you quit firing would do the trick. I'm not suggesting a reload system, just make the cool down sprite look even better. Plasma IS my favorite gun, of course.
Maybe have the pistol drawn in the hud like it is on the menu picture for Ultimate Doom, but at an angle (again, left side of screen) so you see half of the gun rather than just the top.
I may edit this later after more thoughts. I can't think of anything else. I just want the hud sprites changed as described, and made smooth, so it doesn't seem like it skips frames.

Not sure where that said topic is, could be inside the Sprite Carnaval topic or something.
I must say, its a lot of work and alot of patience to remake the weapons from an angle, left or right, pixel by pixel.
But sure its a nice idea.

I tried once to make the Skulltag weapons too by angle.
My works became abit sloppy, and not worth to download or to see at the least.
At least i can show you the grenade launcher in the said Zero Invasion video at 1:23 till 1:27.
I might continue and polish them bit by bit in the future...

I wonder how many are interested in spacemaps these days? I concider making some with a little different toutch than what you usually see, so I would like to hear if there is interest in spacemaps?

The amount of armor points you have is equal to the amount of BasicArmor items in your inventory :U
