A deathmatch mode where monsters spawn in the map mid battle. Some of these monsters are weak and offer small rewards like stimpacks. While slaying the most difficult, rewards you with more badass guns and items. 4 tiers of items would be obtainable in a 30 minute match. Not only do you pick up weapons, you gain experience, level up, different kinds of armors would be available to use as well. All and all it is like League of Legends, but the creeps that spawn have a mutual hate for everyone.

That feels nothing like a MOBA game. MOBA games are more along the lines of 5v5 base defense, not PvE defense.

So TerminusEst13 and I were hanging out in #samsara. I bring up Parkmore, he remembers some dusty old mod he made, so he decides to pull them together, stick them on ZDoom Wars maps, and see how hilariously things break.

Problem is, they didn't break.
They actually kinda made things extremely awesome.

Imagine flying through levels at 500mph, with all the Parkmore moves you've grown to love, plus the ability to launch yourself through the air at will with charging jets. Now imagine running through maps like Jumpmaze with this, except the maps are 20 times larger. Now imagine turrets shooting at you while all of this is happening, and you're shooting at everyone else as well while racing to beat them.

It's gonna be pretty fucking intense.

(yes I realise this is in the wrong thread but WHO CARES)

Very surprising it didn't break, but did it lag at all? I have tried parkmore with other mods online and it lagged for everyone.

The parkmore part is ping-dependent, but considering the scale of the maps to be and the fact that you have other, less ping dependent methods of aerial maneuvering, it won't be a big deal.

'course if you have a high ping you'll be at a disadvantage, but rocket jumping is the same way.

You know what I'd really use? A good WAD manager.
With categories like, gamemode (few should be possible to check), type (mod, single map, megawad), ability to connect wads with their fixes/variant add-ons, designated IWADs, need of skulltag_stuffs, own rating, custom tags, screenshot, and option to randomly choose WAD from filtered list (like, today I'll play random coop megawad, and then I will roll for weapons mod which doesn't suck).
Of course, best possibility would be letting community add categories and tags, think Last.FM, it would be much more complicated and needed a server... It's nice to dream though :)

Lost Vikings style gameplay.
3 player-only with 3 different classes that all have unique abilities and unique weaknesses, you need to rely on each other, keep each other alive because you cannot progress alone . Maybe one class can fly or jump high, one doesn't suffer falling damage, one has amazing lung capacity, one has range attack, one can cloak to sneak into areas, or one is computer wiz who can hack into computers to find data and unlock areas, that sort of stuff.

Examples on one map could be that you will come to a breakable wall that leads to the next part of the map, but only one class is able to break it down. or there is a switch on the other side of an electric wall and only the range attack guy can shoot through and activate it. Since you REALLY need each other to progress, there is also a special wishing well at the beginning of the map, so if 1 or 2 players fall you can retrace your steps and put enemie souls (points) into the well and revive 'em.

Points are collected by killing enemies or found in secret areas, there is also bonus points you get for team work, if say all players have full health when they reach the next zone. Maps will be linear and split into different zones, each zone is a different theme and text with an objective appears when you start.

This is so not going to work on a public server because you know how often people are willing and capable to cooperate properly.

Still, would be interesting if that idea actually saw the light of the day.

It would be interesting to see an actual, realistic survival modification. Similar to what Disguise was going on about a "Dead Space" project for DooM/Zandronum; little to no ammunition drops from the enemies, supplies are incredibly scarce and scattered everywhere in the places any player would hardly check, and the monsters come out of nowhere, to either ambush the player... or initiate action sequences that might have the player on their knees (literally, game-wise) that would require proper input in order to succeed in said sequences.

I haven't been around for a while, so I don't know if something like that might already been in the making or not. But nonetheless, that would be an interesting addition.


Besides, nowadays my two main focuses are my schoolwork, and this thingie:

Street Fighter Doom styled mod because why not? :|

I mean, it would be mostly coding I guess, every monster would be a class with vantages and disadvantages. Pick one monster and go FFA or duel with it. The art would be just doom's default on the most part, if not 100% of it.

Hello Everyone, the name is ryupichu but most people calls my ryu.

I have an great idea that might well (explode) shock you guys.
Past on the years ive been seeing randamization mods, a few rpg mods and
only a few rpg wad but not that much um detail (under my taste)

I think its a good idea to forge them into a fpsrpg with several classes and
large maps with well done detail. I hope that this can also be for online
cause then it would be good as well.

I got this idea after playing borderlands 2 for the last few weeks and i thought to myself "hey why not make a fpsrpg for doom"

So here are my idea:

Charaters:
ryupichu: race: neko
shindora: race: neko
Captain Powers: race: human
Tank: race: Human
Ryupichu (human version) :human (3d skined instead)
Ninja: race: human
Merimoto: race: Human
Lucy: Race: Unknown
Eiyr: race: Angel
Kane:Race: Human
Yoko: Race: Human ( Anime Refrence )
Meg: Race : Human

Types of shelds
Tech: Magic: Increases blinding and higher critical)
Conteprary: Com unit ( accuracy for rifiles)
Hi-Tech: energy

Armored: Elemental( Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Wind

Powered: Damageable but will get repaired
Heavy: Still take dmg but runs slower
Light/Weak: runs faster but take 100% dmg
Med: less faster but takes 75% dmg

Steel Amr: (not thought of yet)
Akimbo: Lose fire accuracey, inccreases damage while Holding 2 guns

Weak Sheilds: Loot Sheilds:Increases rate for loot
Contempery: Junk sheilds

Anime Sheilds: American: Increases rates on "Classic weapons"
Japanese: Increases rates on " Anime Weapons

Easter eggs, ( not sure about how many guns, grenades are they gonna be)
FPSRPG system, skill trees, strategy, puzzles, based on borderlands (series)
Loads of bullet hell
Backtracking, (not sure if their gonna be any voice acting)
Loads of side quests, animation scenes
shops, chocobo lady ( for example)
loads of items
a truck load of monsters*

the monsters will not me randomized, its only gonna be the loot

Difficulty: Normal Mode
True Adventure Mode

A very cramped map which constantly spawns powerful monsters. The weapons of players are powerful too, but team damage is on. The goal is to stay alive while scoring as less teamkills as possible.

Could be fun if done right. And if 64 players.

Ha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers Treasures of the Deep! It'd be cool to see an underwater mod that makes use of that neat "underwater motorcycle" that you have in that game, being able to get on or off at will.

Marine life undergoing general existence and most of which are afraid of humans; that's the same sort of behavior that Hunt Mod needs for its animals. So I reckon the underwater idea could be an extension of the hunting mod, to hunt various types of fish, sharks, and rare legendary beasts using nets to harpoons. Whilst also taking into account your air supply under water, you're gonna have to surface and fill up every now and then. And avoid getting eaten.

Jetpack?
I did a search and so far there seems to be only one ZDoom jetpack that only barely works, with minimal manoeuvrability. Anyone know any other? It'd be fun for competitive play, with a fuel limit for short bursts of flight.

About THAT idea.
I disagree. That idea is horrible.

It is like a mish-mash of random animes, describes a lot of its supposed features, even through I am sure you haven't even begun. It is good to have an accurate idea for a thing, but you should keep it to yourself or your friends. If you want to share it in public, give the general idea, without going much in detail.

Also, you should know how to do a thing. Before you begin creating accurate ideas, you should know a lot about modding. And your idea does not sound like you do.

Also, a lot of people here (including me) dislike anime.

These facts reduce your chance to hire people that actually KNOW
how to do things to 0%. Which is hard enough if you have a great idea and great modding skills.
