I always really wanted to make a SP only mod based off the same style of Hexen's hubs but using Doom's resources and a bunch of extras, basically. The premise was being marooned on some messed up planet and basically instead of 3 keys that applied to all the maps in the hub, you had like, 8-10 keys. So you'd be backtracking a lot but you'd also open up new areas and storyline progress all the time, plus optionally explore and get new gear and stuff like a revolver in some weird ass ice region behind this door that was color coded and locked that you saw the first time you entered the area several sessions ago, for example.

Lots of work, but ya. I've had it in my head for a long time but I'll probably never do it. I can't even make a door anymore, lordy.

What about a Dead Space like mod? If you played Dead Space then you know what I'm talking about.

- Scarce ammo/health (enemies would rarely drop ammo/health);
- A shop system where you could buy weapons, ammo, health, armor and power-ups;
- A work bench to upgrade your weapons (increase fire rate, increase damage, increase ammo capacity), health (increase health) and armor (increase armor);
- No weapon drops, meaning that you could only buy them;
- You could only carry four weapons;
- Enemies would have no weapons, that includes hitscans too; There would be only melee and ranged enemies (preferably all of them demons, which would mean no zombies);
- Credits would be found around the map or usually dropped by enemies;
- Maps would be geared towards survival (horror) gameplay obviously;

I think it would be great IF it's done properly, and IF some of the stuff is possible, of course.

Lol let's calcul the amount of 3D floors this would require to get a decent map like in your videos xD

Not seen these before, are there any for css? Look like the kinda maps you get for it.

That's Tactical Ops (some cheap but fun copy of cs), I used to play this game a long time ago. I have no idea about css and fallmaps.

I'm pretty convinced if someone can make maps like these it will be a huge succes in this community.

DoTA like mod. Why not?

Just make the function for team dm and the victory condition must be destroying the enemy's base/nexus/whatever you name it. All the rest are up to each mapper/modder.

Not exactly. In DotA (and other MOBA games), there's a LOT more than just base destroying. Plus, you cannot switch classes (heroes/champions/pros/whatever in MOBAs) during the game.

I personally can see it doable, but really difficult to pull off properly, especially since some third-person games (Super Monday Night Combat) have not pulled this off properly.

Screwing around with trying to generate 'terrain' by splitting the sector into squares, moving each one up to a max of 32 pixels away from the ones near it.

How about this idea. Game is 5v5 both team have some building what need defend. Players can buy monsters (Zombie cost 50, Imp cost 100) and they start attacking toward to enemy building, and teams monsters start fighting each others. Players can also buy weapons, ammo, upgrades for defended building. Players get money killing enemys, and income 1 money per second all players.

Too bad i dont have any skill mod doom. :cry:

yeah i have an idea problem is its been done already.

the idea in question: a TimeSplitters style Virus gamemode anyone who is anyone has played this fun as hell gametype and for those who havent.
