Ehhh, I dunno. It's not horrible but the firing rotations are those crappy "gun pasted on walk frame" and the colours look pretty washed-out. It reminds me of those crummy Wolfenstein skins that used to come with Skulltag.

Slow progress on Romero skin, due to hot weather, and hard work dayjob.
Can't show much, its still waiting in its second walk sequence.

I did some small updates on my Mario Bros. skins and my Steve skin. You can find them in their original threads.

Cool! They'll be in the next version.scalliano wrote: Scientists now have crouch sprites.

Sure, i'll add it. Why not? :p Plus i'm sure a lot of players would use it.Espio wrote: I should have gave you this before, but you wanna add meh DooM 3 marine skin? The only thing wrong with it is the grey hair on one sprite, but I'm pretty sure it's not that annoying to see. It looks fine in Slade.. but in-game it does that for some reason.

EDIT:
By the way, Flynn, I took the liberty of adding some sounds for your 8-bit marine (via bitcrushing)! I figured you wouldn't mind. ;p

Just a quick suggestion, could you put a changelog with it so I know what is new? (Chances are I won't notice the changes unless someone points them out.)Ænima wrote: I'm gonna release v0.2 tonight.

RE: ZandroSkins - the community skin pack!
Freedoomguy's grin appears even when I'm not using his skin (I think it's incorrectly named), and Arnold's sprites ought to be renamed. The Fighter class appears as a badly colored Doomguy if I play HeXen without removing the pack from my skins folder (a pain).Ænima wrote: I'm gonna release v0.2 tonight.

Also, I was wondering if I could take a crack at the Billy Mays skin. I liked some of the old sounds, and there a lot of annoying ones in the new skin. I hope to mix the two and add a couple more taunts. Doesn't have to be in time for the next release, but I've already worked on it a bit, for personal use. Might just make the deadline if it's approved. :)

Dang, I knew someone would ask for a changelog. :PWhiteAce wrote:Just a quick suggestion, could you put a changelog with it so I know what is new? (Chances are I won't notice the changes unless someone points them out.)Ænima wrote: I'm gonna release v0.2 tonight.

I'll write up an official changelog in a few minutes, but basically it's all the posts at the beginning of this page and the end of the last one (added 2 new skins, updated Mario, Luigi, Scientists, and a few others at their author's requests, etc). I also did some really tiny changes (which most people won't notice) like normalizing sound clips (some were either too quiet or two loud) and adding color defaults for some skins (like Mario is red by default but players can obviously still change it if they want).
Already been pointed out and fixed. :PPresident People wrote: Freedoomguy's grin appears even when I'm not using his skin (I think it's incorrectly named)
OH SHIT. Thanks for pointing that out, I totally didn't realize it. It's due to the fact that Ivan had to use a workaround when making his skin (because for some reason, a skin NEEDS to have its own sprites and can't just use the base). Which is weird because I recall Meepy having base PLAY sprites. Hmmmmm. I'll look into this.President People wrote: Arnold's sprites ought to be renamed. Sure! Go ahead. I really want to upload v0.2 and release it either tonight or tomorrow morning (I'm leaving for a weekend vacation), so I might not wait for it (and i don't want you to have to rush), but I'd be happy to add it to v0.3! ;pPresident People wrote: Also, I was wondering if I could take a crack at the Billy Mays skin. RE: ZandroSkins - the community skin pack! NEW VERSION, BUGFIXES AND 2 NEW SKINS!
v0.2 RELEASED! Check the first post.
There's also a poll with an important question regarding theme consistency. Please take a second to take part in that, and feel free to explain or debate it with a post.
Oh and PP: I fixed the Arnold issue. c:
EDIT:
Oh yeah and be sure to delete the old ZandroSkins version from your skins folder before you put the new one in, otherwise you'll probably get some conflicts and lots of errors.

I think the download is down but it could be something on my end (it says it's unable to connect). But good job on the new release BTW.

Meepy does indeed use PLAY sprites.Ænima wrote: OH SHIT. Thanks for pointing that out, I totally didn't realize it. And I still can't replicate this 'need' for a workaround, as the first thing I do when downloading new versions of Arnold is strip the file of sprites.
It still works after that.

I tried that and it made the player totally invisible.-Jes- wrote:Meepy does indeed use PLAY sprites.Ænima wrote: OH SHIT. Thanks for pointing that out, I totally didn't realize it. EDIT:
Okay Meepy has the same problem, which is weird because Meepy has been around since 96f and it always worked fine. Which means this is probably a Zandronum bug. I'll submit a tracker report when I get back from vacation.

Regarding the poll, yes. Get rid of the non-Doom stuff and shove it into a separate 'jokeskin' pack. Because consistency.

RE: ZandroSkins - the community skin pack! NEW VERSION, BUGFIXES AND 2 NEW SKINS!
BTW... couldn't someone also make a single wad for old skulltag skins? Maybe without Crash, or renamed to Oldcrash or something. Also with hidden skins being un-hidden, this hiding option is pretty borked.
I mean, it's a legacy and it'd be nice if they were easy to get for newbies, not downloading 50 single files :)
