getting a server to work part 2

open doomseeker

goto file- create server

choose engine zandronum check lock

make sure your port is set to 6666 or 6667

name your server (what kind of game is it example) it will broadcast to the master or your LAN depending on your settings so this is your advertisment for display your game

select game mode- deathmatch for example

select your iwad example the main game doom 2 for example
add skulltag.data.pk3
add skulltag.actors.pk3

as pwads (i wont explain everything cause most of it is read if you can read you can customize your own server practice makes perfect chances are you wont attract many people on just a doom 2 game server maybie doom 1 has a better change trust me i server a lot

me personally i don't like this land console thing so i disallow it
also for a good cooperative put go through players on under behevior


messages banning and the works you came to the right doomer

make sure broadcast to master is checked for public games

make sure you press start server then


once the head is showing in the bottom right hand corner of your screen your server is sucessfully online remember to read preps for windows 7 under childhood_doomer posts important. now


to set up a start message type \c then text

to add color to text press\l for red example you will have to practice this people but that is it for now good serven post any probs

the port is really 10666 or 10667 for normal users
