Hi Folks,

Well this bad boi is still alive and kicking and I am currently injecting fuel into it. I have been working on it more lately so i figured we do a new thread since I have changed the name.

The objective is still the same, which was to put invasion back on the map.
Anyone can help out on this project by either submitting maps or by helping us testing... or the best of all.. providing feedback on our progress.

Yo, I've stopped modding/mapping on Zandronum since many months. My own projects aren't progressing at all so you can imagine that I will never finish that map.
Remove me from slot 05, and good luck.

I'll be damned.... Is this still alive...?

While i was doing some graphical works, i was wondering if Zandronum forums are still active...
Sorry for my ego folks... i have not been treating well here a few years ago, and that is still 'hurting' my feelings.
So i went to ZDoom forums... it maybe have the same people as they are here, but there the people are acting much mature, which i like it better.
Anyways.... i was not going to bash here, not the plan anyways...
The reason i sum this up, was.. ZDoom engine does NOT KNOW Invasion mode, so i build my own version of Invasion mode, and ... it act as precise as it does on Zandronum engine... Except the things like ammo and weapons, powerups, that needs to respawn during a period of time...
I made a work-around for them... so basicly.. hehehe, who needs Zandronum anyways...
Okay, okay, no need to bash Zandronum.

Good luck with the 'renamed' project.
I really mean that.
I am VERY busy at the moment, but if you need some help... in whatsoever, just call.
I am... sort of... back again on this forum.
Just giving the people here ...a forth chance.. sort of...

So I use GZDoom Builder fixed version. So because of that, things from the Skulltag files and the Invasion Unleashed - Legion of Sin won't show up. Can you please make a things show up patch for anyone who uses GZDoom Builder fixed? I still remember making a map for this invasion pack and I still need to work on it. Perhaps I'll use slot 21 as the map slot because I previous map slots I was going to use have been taken.

34 waves?! Holy molly! You might want to reconsider the wave amount to something more - friendly. For example, five or seven waves.

For sure it will be longer, but as you wish i can reduce it for 24 or less to not be like Lux Ex Veritas Map.

Necro Bump.
Having in mind the following things that i'm doing to my map:
-More details where i can expand a lot the map (suggested by SyKoTiC)
-Detailing more aleast to make a decent map
-I Just reduced 10 waves to make it short and each wave must be now on my mind thinking to keep it each wave must be now to have a flavour of normal/hard waves (Suggested by Tiger)
-as i keep on mind too.... Waves 1,2,3,4,7,8,9,20,21 can be short while some can be normal or slow to finish (Suggested by MiFU)
-my mind on the final wave is to keep it now.... More Challenging

Yeah, be careful if you have many waves. If the map gets too dragged out it can get boring and people may avoid it in the future.
But it's good that you're experimenting with different types of waves, such as the short waves you mentioned. Maybe you can spice things up even more if some waves incorporate temporary layout changes for the map or (temporary) special access to some items/weapons/rooms, or special monsters exclusive to some waves... I don't think I've seen this done before, apart from maybe Armageddon Invasion.

I will be kind of experiencing too Mini-boss waves specially the last wave to make a Boss Battle, and shortening more.... I'm planning to reduce 3 more waves as a suggestion by Blast88 to just make it shorter rather making a long bridge to the next wave.

I'm probably seeking for a attempt at experimenting with removing certrain weapons like BFG9000 or 10k to not make it eaiser the Boss Fight that i'm planning for Last Wave.
