If you guys go through with Samsara, the biggest things I'm thinking of for hotfixing is to limit the amount of pipebombs Duke can lay (maybe increase the ammo cost in DM per pipe?) and/or make them destructible, and increase B.J.'s ammo and/or give him a way to replenish it.

Would there be any other glaring issues I'd need to fix real quick?

Besides those I already talked to you about, probably not. The only problem is finding a decent map pack that can work with Samsara. Zdoomwars maps come to mind.

EDIT: Actually I do have one suggestion, Timon's Axe should ignore armor, this is mainly useful for LMS as there's no way you can use it properly WITHOUT it unless the player is very weak and in this case you should not be going melee anyway!

Good call, as I suggested already on SNS IRC channel, it's a good idea as I love the mod and I feel it has great quality.

Alright then, assuming we're doing Samsara for both, we'll have to talk about WADs. ZDW could work, but we'd have to lower the gravity or something to make it playable. What about UDMX or STLMS?

If the ZDoom Wars maps don't work with lower gravity (I've noticed 700/650 seems to work pretty well, only major concern off the top of my head being the pit in Da Void ), what else comes to mind is STLMSv3. Nice ol' big set of maps, and no gravity wonkiness.

We could do low-grav ZDW for one and STLMS for the other.
