RE: Doomgirl Skin UPDATED: fixed skin lump finally!
no it was the S_SKINS lump (which is needed for Zdoom) is not compatable with the other skins lump needed for Zandronum

The Skininfo lump is not required for Zandro/ST. It does however offer some of the Zandro/ST specific skin functionality.

Zandronum shouldn't behave like this, even if the lumps have errors. In this case Zandronum should exit gracefully with a proper error message of why it can't start. Is the "silently disappear" behavior reproducible? If so, please open a ticket on the tracker and include an example wad.DevilHunter wrote: Also, there is no crash report with this, it just that the Zandro Process disappears as soon as the Loadup Screen is Finished...

there is no error now, it was because I left in the S_SKIN lump that it crashed.Torr Samaho wrote:Zandronum shouldn't behave like this, even if the lumps have errors. As I said, Zandronum shouldn't crash if there is an error in a wad, but gracefully exit with a proper error message. The fact that you fixed the wad doesn't change how Zandronum should behave when encountering a wad with an error. That's why I'd still like to see a version of the wad that caused Zandronum to crash.Virtue wrote: there is no error now, it was because I left in the S_SKIN lump that it crashed.

You do realize these are simply variant edits of his new (awesome) Crash skin, right?Xenaero wrote: Way better than the old Crash skin, haha.

I believe he was referring to the Skulltag Crash skin.

These are looking fantastic Virtue! Any chance you'll be doing Base II or Base III variants?

The file works just fine for me, so the problem only occurs under certain still unknown circumstances. Who had problems with this file and under which circumstances? I guess files in the skins directory may be involved.Virtue wrote: ok, here it is: http://files.drdteam.org/index.php/file ... marine.zip

Man. If only this would be the base Zandronum skin for the female gender. Then gender confused marines would be a thing of the past.

Ænima: be my guest!
Suicide Slim: I was kind of hoping that someone would create a decent female marine but no one did, so it was up to me lol

Great, should be easy to copy over. I'm practically done with the fists frames for Doomgirl, it's tedious work though.Virtue wrote: Version 2.0 done!
